The Friday Circuit Training class at my gym. Somewhere in the middle of it I usually want to puke. The teacher is a cute little blonde who seems really sweet, but once she starts teaching..... . She shows no mercy!
It is the tiny cute ones who are the worst!!
I had the same instructor for Pump and Step today, also tiny and blonde LOL! She teaches TurboKick too. Pump isn't so bad, but I get a little crazy during Step and overdo it a lot....:laugh:0 -
Welp, I've been in bed since yesterday (not feeling well) but I had to push myself to get on the treadmill do do a fast pace alk for 10 minutes and run for another 10 minutes. No energy what so ever.0

Oh no, feel better! :flowerforyou:
It's great that you got moving even for a little bit. You will be back to normal soon and then you can kick butt again!:happy:0 -

Don't over do it. Drink lots of water and drink some low sodium chicken broth. That always makes me feel better.0 -
OMG - the P90X Plyometrics kicks my butt everytime. The Kenpo is good; but, Plyometrics is dynamite! I've been doing Hip Hop Abs and it gets me sweating, but still nothing like Plyo....0

Great job! I think visualization is great. I love listening to some of Beyonce's angry songs while I'm doing tough cardio...I can't imagine myself doing her dances without me looking sexy haha!0 -

I love it when I get to play 3 straight hours of volleyball. It doesn't happen very often because of the need of a baby sitter, but it's so much fun when we get competitive. We play on a men's height net, coed, and when we are short people and end up playing games 2 against 2, or even 4 against 4, it makes the court soooo much harder to cover. You pretty much work every muscle in your body, but you don't realize it, because you're having so much fun.0

My hardest workout is power hiking on the Appalachian Trail. My local trailhead is at Port Clinton, PA. It is an immediate one thousand feet of elevation rise. Takes me about 25 minutes to reach the top. I am sucking wind big time and my heart rate is well over 180 bpm. The descent is not easy, either. Very tough on the knees, but offers a great workout in a short time.0

SOCCER!!! I joined a team a few months ago and even though we are a "REC" team...it's full on indoor, running back and forth, sweaty the entire time, hard work. I've never had a work out like this EVER! I love it. I burn any where from 500-700 calories in 50 minutes. (field size and subs make the difference in calories)0

I've gotta tell ya....Ultimate TaeBo and the Amped series (Amped are the only ones I've tried so not sure of the other TaeBo workouts) But Ultimate TaeBo is an 89 minute workout and it is TOUGH!! I get done with it and I am drenched with sweat. Completely drenched. My hair looks like I just got out of the shower.....As a matter of fact, it looks like I took a shower in my workout clothes. I usually have to pause it and walk in place a few times throughout the workout, while I get a drink of water, and wipe my face with a towel, and then get moving again, just so I don't fall over and die.  His 55 minute Full Throttle Amped is tough too. But that 89 minute one is just crazy. I feel so proud of myself when I'm done. He keeps ya movin, and does the bursts of high high intensity fast paced cardio throughout the workout. He adds in sculpting and when it gets to the like 45 or 50 minute mark he does some dancing to make it fun again. He has ya doin the tootsie roll and stuff  Cracks me up EVERY time  :drinker: And on that same DVD there's a 23 minute fatburn express and it's only 23 minutes but by the time I'm done with 23 minutes, I'm ready to be done. Full of sweat and feel like I just did a really good workout. It's a tough one.
Ok........I wrote a book....sorry

TaeBo Amped series is tough. But I love it. (I really wanna get some of the other TaeBo workouts too) I feel so accomplished and proud of myself for doing them every time. The best ones though are Ultimate TaeBo 89 minutes and Full Throttle Amped 55 minutes. WOWZERS :noway:  :drinker: Another one I'd like to try is Turbo Jam. Heard its fun :bigsmile:0 -
Gonna go do my Modefied HIIT training today. Essentially (cuz I can't work out outside) I'll do 3 minutes at 11 MPH on the tread mill, 5 minutes at 9 MPH at level15 (out of 20) on the eliptical, then another 3 on the tread mill again, then 5 on the stair climber as fast as I can, 3 more tread mill, and 5 on the bike at about 120 RPM with moderate resistance. Then I'll do my core when I can barely stand. It's short, but it's about 500 calories for me, and it engages my anaerobic burn which means I'll burn fat for most of the rest of the day at an elevated rate. Ugh, I dread it, but it's awesome when you are done.0

I've done HIIT before, both on the treadmill and on the track--how fortuitous that tracks come with bleachers LOL! That stuff is great!
Now I'm stuck in classes and I just wanna go work out after reading all your great workouts guys!!
I'll go tonight though! I want to run because it's about 47 degrees today and tomorrow it's only going to be in the 30's, plus I have to work right after class so I have to work out in the crummy gym that doesn't have anything but Nautilus machines. :grumble: They either don't fit me or they offer so much guidance in the movement that I just can't work hard enough on them.
Singfree, there's an entrance to the AT about 30 minutes from where I live down here. I think it's Jefferson Ntnl. Park. I want to hike that before I leave the area! Sounds like a lot of fun!0 -
