The only people that get more unsolicited advice than pregnant women are new mothers...congratulations and best of luck! I am fortunate. I come from a big family that did things old school, yup, we give our 2-3 month olds thinned cereal to help them sleep...gasp! I agree with others, just tell them you've consulted your doctor and you already know what you can/cannot do.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. :flowerforyou: I agree with what Jstarnes said, it only gets worse after the baby is born. As a first time single parent when my daughter was born I pretty much ignored what others told me (for the most part) and raised her as I saw fit. She survived. When my son was a baby and someone would make a comment about something he was or wasn't doing or should or shouldn't still be doing at a certain age, my mantra to myself was "Well he's probably normal." It helped me from worrying myself into a tizzy about every little thing. He survived. You and your husband are going to do just fine.

I'm guessing they don't trust your judgement based on your love for the cubs.

Considering they also love the Cubs, I'm going to guess you're wrong on this one

Congratulations, I have a pregnant daughter.

I will just say that you SHOULD the flu jab, I work in the health service and the advice is to get it when you are pregnant, as it puts you in the high risk group. I have told my daughter she needs to get it, as I have posters all over the wall of my office. Apart from that, just say thank you, and smile at the advice, and say things like, yes, I think you are probably right......

Your topic's subject really says it all, lol. Nothing wrong with ranting though.
