thanks shanell...go girl....i am down too 5.4 them were some heavy stone now if i could get rid of the air. pants aren't fitting well. feel better about tax man today. just the government that makes it so i can't get a refund. because we didn't have enough deductions from his job, phone, phone line, etc. so like i spend money and get nothing in return
i gave permission for DH to get me a dounut this morning so going to enjoy and watch some tv.

Thanks for starting this Shanell! Can't believe it's Week 5!!!!
I didn't gain or lose this week, but considering it was TOM, I didn't exercise and I didn't track anything, I'll take it.
ON that note, my goal for this week is to get back in the game!! I need to be on here posting and listing my food, and oh yeah exercising?!?! So This is the week that everything is going to fall back into place.
Cathy - Woohoo!! Those were some heavy stones!! And over 80 pounds! Yay!!!!!!!!! :drinker:
That's all for now girlies, need to jump in the shower and download the new album from The Fray that came out today!!! Yippeeeee!!! Been trying to pre order it on iTunes but kept getting an error so it better let me today! Otherwise I'm heading to Walmart after class to pick it up!!! They are my absolute favorite!!!!

pdx....oh, my give your friend my best. i have been hearing alot of people lately having gall bladder problems. i wish you luck on your health and i know they will find the problem.
the donuts were ok. yes, it did start up the cravings, but, i tell myself no more and go on. the grease from them tasted nasty. well, i think i will heard to the treadmill and get my 30 slow mins in. slowly build back up again. can't push, pull, lift anything yet. so just slow walking for now. fine for me.

Hi girls! Well...I suppose I am ready to share what has been going on with me: I'M PREGNANT! :bigsmile: So...needless to say, my weight-loss goals have for sure changed! I'm sorry I didn't share earlier, but I wanted to make sure we went to the doctor and everything was good to go. So...I am 9 weeks along (due date is September 8th) and SO excited! We had an ultrasound yesterday and were able to see and hear the heartbeat...which made my heart melt! I couldn't be happier! But...I have been sick...A LOT...and so haven't been to the gym at all in like 2 weeks or something like that. And my husband and I leave this Friday for a vacation in Texas and Mexico...so I'm hoping that once we get back, depending on how I feel, I can start going back to the gym! **fingers crossed** And it's getting hard, because when I'm not completely sick, I'm craving ALL kinds of not-so-good-for-me foods!:grumble: But...I suppose that is how it goes, and I try not to eat too much! ANYways...that is what is going on! So...I probably will continue to lurk around here but not as much posting. But I am here...and always will be!

I just knew it! I told my husband I thought you were. Of course he just listened not knowing much.....CONGRATS! What a great reason to be missing in action. You should be friends with Tamtastic. She is about 8 weeks along and goes to the doc today. She has not been able to exercise either but hopes to get the ok today from her doc. You will do great! And what ever you do gain, you know you have this site to come back to for help!

Congrats on your pregnancy. Is this your first one? I usually enjoyed being pregnant until my last child. She was hard to carry but good luck with you baby.
Well I havent been to the gym in a while either. Wont be going today either. My youngest was real sick yesterday. Gave her tylenol for her fever and it kept going up instead of down. By the time we made it to the doctors it was 103.5. They did some blood work and when her white blood cells were elevated they gave her a shot of rocephin and we have to go back today and they said she will probably get anotehr shot. She is not running a temp right now but she still looks pale to me. We wont know for sure if she has a virus or something else until the blood culture comes back which will be tomorrow evening. They said it takes 48 hours for it. I hope she gets better soon.

Thanks everyone! :flowerforyou: I am SO excited! Yes...this is my first...so every little thing makes me nervous. I was spotting a little this past weekend, which is why they did the ultrasound yesterday, but I freaked out! And now am SO relieved that everything is good and just as it should be! Amy...my due date is September 8th.
Anyways...I promise I will be on here more often...at least I will try. I have seriously been SO busy at work. But I do miss talking with you gals!:flowerforyou:

still @ 149... I think I need to switch some stuff up this week... any ideas??? this 150/149 thing is getting old :grumble: but hey it is better than a gain!!!! i was thinking... i know that this is a life style change not a diet but i have noticed that carbs are my problem area... once i have some i am done... no stoping me... so do you ladies think it may be a good idea to cut out carbs... or at least a large portion of them... i just feel so desperate to make a change that will get me past this hump!!! anyways a BIG congrats to kristin, and all of you ladies for sticking with it... loss/gain/or the same! congrats gals!!!:bigsmile:0 -
strawberry...dont' cut your carbs out completely. we need them. being a dieabetic i count them along with calories second. i get 45 per meal, 15 for 2 snacks and 30 for evening snack. that is how i lost the majority of my weight. i never counted calories. it was just the carbs. i had been doing just calories when i joined here in july, going well, just not as well as i was doing. i am working my way back to the carbs. i am so stuck on the calorie counting. i don't count every single carb. there is a formula of sorts. if you are interested i will pm you.
if you want to cut back do that, just don't cut them out.
made a mistake on my reporting it lost 4.2 not 5.2 fixing that.

Hi All,
Sorry I've been MIA lately. Lot's going on, but DH managed to keep his job through all the recent cuts. We really are thankful for that, but don't know what to expect in the future. I have gained a lot over the past week. So much that I am embarrassed to post. Can I just wait until next week and pray for a better outcome?

A gain this week of 0.8lbs this week for me! Up to 169.2 (Last week was 168.4)
But considering my horrid weekend I am not surprised..! I didnt go to the gym on Friday Saturday or Sunday!, Friday went on a date :blushing: Didnt eat too bad all day..then the date came and I had a grilled tom and chz, broccoli and chz soup, some homemade chips, and some kind of drink the bartender made up for me.. then after dinner we went to a jazz club, and a cigar bar.. I had 3 glasses of wine total. I didnt get home til way late, went to work Saturday morning and ate horribly there: Chicken biscuit, hashbrown, snack cake, 2 cookies and OJ..It was AWFUL! Then skipped the gym and took a nap before I went out to a concert Saturday night. There I had 1 beer, 2 shots and 2 drinks...and didnt get in bed til late again! Worked Sunday morning, and ate well until it was time for dinner..Then I ate Zaxbys chicken fingers..with fries and sweet tea. And skipped the gym again on Sunday. Yesterday was going well, had classes, ate subway for lunch, hit the gym for weights, then 50 min of cardio, picked up my daughter and went to grocery store...I was starving! I came home and ate like a cow! I mean cookies, chips..I feel horrid. Its like this stuff tastes SO good and I dont want to eat it, but I feel out of control bad. I am attempting to get back into healthy eating mode..I think I need to make the time to sit down here even for 5 minutes and post my meals and all again. Im just getting frustrated at not dropping 2-3-4lbs a week anymore.. I knew that slowing down would happen, but I am SO not ready for it to be now!!!
Plus, Ive been having an issue with one certain person I am very attracted to, and he says he is attracted to me....Lets call him Alex ..He calls me on a very regular basis, constantly flirty, helps me when I need him to, but he wont ask me out..and this had been since December-ish.....So I have been VERY frustrated with this and wondering what is wrong with me what I am missing, what can I fix and so on and so on.. I have been turning everyone else that has asked me out down, because I have been waiting for Alex to ask.. but last week I took a step and accepted an invitation from a different guy to go out (Friday) and I had a great time with this guy.
So these things have been my main reason for my absence on here, along with school and work.
Sorry this has been SO long, but I though I would let you guys know whats been going on!
And a BIG congrats to you KRISTIN!!! I kind of thought this was what was going on, yay! Very happy for you and your husband :flowerforyou: :drinker: :bigsmile: CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay well food today..
1- fiber one cereal, 2% milk, egg whites with chz
(also ate some FF pringles, and frosted animal cookies...Didnt want to admit this but oh well I ate it so I have to put it)
Lunch- tuna on lettuce Snack- Strawberries, baby carrots Dinner- Chicken breast, broccoli
Exercise- Atleast 60 min of cardio at gym....

Katy - girl we are in the SAME boat!!! Your Alex sounds a lot like my guy (the one with the postponed date), and it has probably been since December as well, maybe even November, but definitely since we've been back at school. It is so frustrating. Technically we were supposed to get together that night but just to watch a movie so i'm calling it a date. And yeah, i asked him to hang out so technically he hasn't done any of the asking!!! Really just want to look at him and scream "just ask me out already!!!!" haha. So I feel your pain girlie!!! Glad you had a good date Friday though!!!! Don't beat yourself up about the food though, you've done well, it shouldn't hurt you!! :happy:

Ladies, I am so proud to have the loss this week, even though it is only one pound. I did, what I feel, was pretty bad this weekend.
Cathy- I cannot believe you have lost that much from the surgery. Just wait until you are finished healing, there will be another 2-4 pounds off probably. YAY You!
AmyLou and Katy- I am sorry for your dating woes, is it wrong of me to say I am so glad I am married and don't have to do the dating game anymore? Ok, I said it, lol! Katy-don't beat yourself up, just hop back on the wagon!
Shanell- I am so glad to hear you sound pumped up. I have been worried about you, but you are sounding ready to go, go, go now!
Pedal-where are you? It is strange for you not to have posted yet and I miss it
Strawberry- I agree with Cathy, don't cut those carbs out completely because, as you will DEFINITELY lose weight doing this, you are VERY likely to gain it back plus some seemingly the minute you add the carbs back in. Just be smart with your carb choice which I know is way easier said than done.
My meals for today:
B-I was running late and didn't have breakfast. I am trying to break this habit.
L- fabulous blackened chicken salad with loads of veggies.
S-hot fudge sundae from McDs.
D-I have a salad waiting for me when I am ready to eat.
My for today: even though I had a bad weekend, I am determined to GET BACK ON TRACK! Also, my HRM arrived so I am looking forward to really trying that out!
My goal is to see at least one more pound by Friday. Hold me accountable ladies!

Morning ladies. Scale says I am up two pounds this morning, but I am not surprised as I feel REALLY bloated and YUCKY this morning. So, I will likely not get in breakfast this morning becauseI already feel like I am going to puke. I am missing some of you, hoping everything is ok.
