When do you weigh yourself?

After being a slimming world member for 6 months I am in the habit of weighing myself on a weekly basis however I'm thinking of changing this to either every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks instead so I don't get obsessed with the number on my scales!

What do other people think? When do you weigh yourself?

    usually in the morning and a few times throughout the day (if im home) and a few times at night.

    I'm a daily weigher. I could do tons of damage in a week or two without weighing. I don't freak out unless I'm 3 pounds over my goal weight.

  • Personally, I would still keep it at weekly. THat way you can catch any slip up before it becomes a setback.

    Always first thing in the morning, no more than 2x a week. I find if you weigh yourself all the time, it just tends to discourage because of how much it fluctuates. keep the same time though (perferably before you eat in the a.m.)

    I too am a daily weigher, but i don't let the number hamper my mood.

    In regards to your situation. I would first move to 3 weeks see how that goes. If you find that you are able to maintain your weight weighing every 3 weeks then move to 4. It gets easier as times goes on ^.^ That is when you know you have sucessfully made a lifestyle change

    First thing every morning, before I eat or have a drink. It's the only way I can keep motivated by knowing the weight is coming off EVERY day, no matter how tiny an amount. If I leave it a week before I weigh myself then I trick myself into thinking its ok to have a binge every other day because it's not a weigh-in day.

    almost every morning
    but hear me out before u say anything
    i weight myself because that helps me plan my day eg if i have gained half a kilo i can take an healthier approach for that day
    ps i have an electric scale

    Its always funny weighing befoer and after a deuce. Im like wow that was almost the size of a baby
  • Tuesday morning - first thing - naked before I shower (you know those drops of water add up! LOL)

    @razorspells- wow - that's some patience and control you have. I weigh myself every friday morning but have to stop myself from doing it daily.

    @lilvixen84 I think doing it every day just gets frustrating as it fluctuates all over the place and feel like you're not really getting results.
