And lots of people have said they love Doctor Who...So, I made a thread.

    I used to watch it a lot as a kid.
    Since they brought it back I catch the odd episode here and there.
    Christopher Ecclestone was immense but I can see why he would only do one season as he has bigger fish to fry.
    All time favourite, though, was Tom Baker.
    I don't really have a favourite sidekick, maybe K9 ;-)

    I loved David Tennet was so angry when he left. I have to say though that Matt Smith is really growing on me and I love Amy and Rory. My twelve year old is addicted to the show, we'll watch reruns on Saturday mornings instead of cartoons.

    Tom Baker is by far my favorite Doctor. Love the hair! I really liked Martha as his companion and also like Amy Pond. Husband and I call Rose, horse face.

    My ringtone is the theme song for Doctor Who. Surprisingly, only women have picked up on the song; no man has recognized it yet.

    Of the rebooted Dr. Who, I've liked every Doctor, but Tennant still tops Matt Smith in my opinion. His intensity and constant underlying sorrow were palpable. Preferred that to Smith's child-like wonder.

    I didn't like her at first, but Doctor-Donna was a fascinating sidekick and story arc.

    I would have to say each Dr. has brought his own flare to the show. I started watching with Ecklstein and he was there for one season. Tennet did a great job & Smith is a bit crazy for my taste but I've enjoyed him as well. As for the companions they've all made me laugh, cry and go nuts in their own ways :) I know I am none committal but over all I do enjoy the show. It will be interesting to see how they pick it back up :) .

    Well I heard a very specific reason why he left, which made me think a lot less of him.

    Rude. Though I WILL say that I enjoy Matt Smith, Amy definitely isn't my favorite. River might be a close second to Rose, though.
