This thread is definitely worth a bump.
Great enlightening examples!0 -
Bump---> to remind me not to focus on just the scale0

Great comparo, I will probably have a similar one in January - I took one 1/23/11 at 183lbs and probably 25-27% body fat, one 1/23/12 at around 161lbs and probably 10-12% body fat, and will be taking one 1/23/13 (I am currently 179lbs, but same or less body fat than at 161).0

You look fantastic !0

Great work! You look really fit and toned.
Your pics are a reminder to me that there is a lot more to consider than the number on the scale. Recently my weight loss has slowed considerably but I have been lifting heavy and expect I am building muscle. I am going to start taking regular pics to get the full perspective.

Perfectly written. Muscle weighs more then fat. Thank you so much on pointing this out.Thank you so much for this post! It is truly inspiring and I think demonstrates health and fitness over weight! Love it! Thank you!0

very interesting, thanks for the photo comparison0

This is a great picture comparison. If everyone would learn that the scale is not the only defining thing in fitness!0

i love this!!!0

Great photo comparison. Weight is not the be-all end-all.0

The heavier weight also has a butt, and the best kind too. The kind that is lifted and firm and obvious. I rather be the heavier weight any day and have a more fit body! Awesome job and great comparison pic!0

I am so glad you shared this!!! So many people are so consumed with the scales!!1 I don't even own them, i am working on muscle, which weighs more. Congratulations, you look amazing!!!0

Love this! This is pretty much exactly what I'm aiming for.
I wonder though, given the heavier weight of more muscle, does that change the calorie calculations at? Or maybe not, since you're still losing fat (and just exchanging it for muscle).0 -

keeping this for inspiration! thanks.0

see, this is how I want to look for the most part. Right now I'm about 125lbs of skinny loose muscle fat. I need to get toned up! This is also a reason I refuse to own a scale in my house. The scale is so deceiving. Thanks for posting this.0
