Awful job, I feel bad for those who do that full-time. :S

Same here. I only took the job because I was tired of being home all day and the hours were during the time when my daughter was in kindergarten. Time-wise, it was perfect. Being able to quit was a luxury that not all people have, so now, I am never rude to telemarketers because I know how much it sucks.

My worst job was working for a lawyer. She was such a b*tch. I can't believe I lasted 7 months working for her. Once I gave my notice she was sweet as pie to me.

Working at a call center!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh. DON'T DO IT if you can help it! It's better to be pinching pennies then taking a job like that... I couldn't even do it 16 hours a week while going to school. It was that bad. I did Directv customer service and Verizon Wireless PREPAID customer service. Both were absolutely awful. The second was only more manageable as that's where I met my husband and we were able to email each other whenever we wanted.

    While in college....
Ladies shoe sales at Nordstrom. Eff that job sucked but it paid so good.

    After college....
I worked a second job for 5 years when I first started out in a career. I delivered the paper at night.....7 days a week 365 a year.
Pay was good but what a pain in the a** that was. Every night getting up about 3:ish delivering for about 2.5 hours no matter what the weather was, then go home and get ready for my real job. Some nights I thought I was going to break down and cry or just collapse from exhaustion. Only my real close friends and family knew I had the job...neighbors eventually found out because they either saw me leave or come home a few different times. I swear it took years off my life but I didn't have a choice, had to provide for the family.
