No carb/low carb diets

I have been doing low carb now for about 4 weeks and have lost about 15 lbs. I had to ease into it though, cause dipping to low carb after eating closer to 100 carbs a day makes me feel sick for a while, this time I eased into it and dropped about 10-20 grams of carbs a day until I was at 20-30 grams a day and that is where I am now. I exercise about 4-5 times a week, usually 30 minutes. Not big on exercise, I am lazy. This week I am staying at 20 grams or less because I am really trying to drop pounds before we go to Florida on vacation! The 15 pounds I have lost has not been very hard at all. I craved carbs for about the first two weeks, but now I don't even think about them much. If you Google no carb recipes you can find all kinds of good stuff to eat. I recommend broccoli if you like it because it makes me full for a long time! LOTS of people are against low carb diets. But it works for me. My doctor is who recommended it to me. It is not for everyone and if you don't do it right you will feel sick and sluggish.0

I have been doing low carb for just over two weeks now. I'm down 7 pounds since I started low carbing, 13 total. The first five pounds took me about two months to lose. I have always had difficulty sticking to a low carb program...in fact, in the past I've tried low carbing a whole bunch of times and never made it past the "carb flu." For some reason, this time has been different. I feel awesome and have tons of energy. I workout like a maniac and my net calorie levels have been pretty low, so whether it's the whole "calorie in, calorie out" or the low carbs, it doesn't matter, I'm finally losing. Before, when I was only cutting calories (and exercising), I wasn't losing weight and my food cravings were out of control, especially for sweets and wine at night. That's not the case thus far...in fact, I have an office FULL of candy for some upcoming Christmas parades, and I haven't had the first piece...we're talking all kinds of chocolate up in this place, people...that's an amazing feat for me! I've cut out the alcohol completely too, as I tried drinking some red wine last Friday and it made my cravings the next day almost untolerable...it's easier to just not drink than deal with that.
For whatever reason, people get really upset about low carbing, but if it works for you and you can stick to it, I say go for it!0
