    I don't know anybody currently with cancer but have lost several family members from it.

    My mom died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago - got it before she was 50. Paternal grandmother died of it too. Terrible, terrible disease.

    I lost all 4 grandparents from cancer.

    My mom has survived breast cancer
    My dad has survived prostate cancer & lymphoma

    It is very hard what my family is dealing with. To be honest my family on my dad side has been distant. We just started reconnecting. Cancer is so ugly, but it had made me even more determined to get to know my family.
