I take Loesterin 24 FE and I've had no problems losing weight while on it.. I lost 28 pounds so far.
I honestly don't think the pill causes you to gain/lose weight.. If your eating what you should and not in excessive amounts, then you won't gain weight. If your eating at a calorie deficit and eating healthy, then you'll lose weight.
I have to disagree, I have never had any trouble losing weight on the mini pill. this year however on the stronger pill, I could not lose and was gaining right up till I stopped at the start of October. Only in the last 2 weeks I have lost 2 kg, very happy about it too.
That is correlation=causation, which means nothing.
You can't say for sure it was the pill.. I'm sure there was a host of other factors that played into this weight gain/loss besides the pill.0 -
Yeah it all sounds wonderful and ideally we would all use the most natural method possible. However, I had triplets naturally, I'm going to stick with something that I know is reliable up tp 98%0

There is no way in hell I would try the natural methods, because my period is not regular unless I'm on the pill. Some cycles are 14 days, some are 40. Have fun with that.
Anyway, I stopped taking my pills about 6 weeks ago. My appetite has decreased since I got off and my acne came back. I have actually lost a few pounds without even trying. Before, I would have to move mountains to lose weight.
I guess technically we are trying a natural method... 100% abstaining... which sucks! I just wanted a few months to figure out what my body is like without anything in it before I get an IUD. I'm hoping to get the copper one which has no hormones at all. It does have side effects though... just nothing to do with my weight.0 -

What about condoms? My husband would rather use condoms than miss out entirely!!0 -
We had one slip off once, and I ran out to get some Plan B. It was an awful experience that I don't care to repeat.
I am so terrified of having kids. I can't put it into words.0 -

No need to, I have 4, I planned 2. Its not easy and you are wise to be careful.0 -
Birth control has never affected my weight. I've always used Ortho TriCyclen Lo.0

The Billings Method could help you with that because it would teach you about the actual physical signs of where you are in your cycle. If you are abstaining with the objective of finding out what is going on with your body, this would be a great tool because it works with irregular periods too.0 -

Many people use the natural methods when they are trying to conceive. They are quite effective then. But it works the other way too.0 -
I was on ortho cyclen for 11 years and was able to lose weight as long as I wasn't mindlessly shoving food in my face like I tend to do.0
