A great article -- http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_articles.asp?id=773
Basically it comes down to your own priorities and personal preference.

Regardless of whatever science has told me otherwise, I try and do 30 minutes of cardio (not intense) before I lift weights. Usually after I lift, I feel fatigued and often sick and I almost never find my way back to that treadmill. Since I know myself, I just do it before hand so I'll actually do it. I only do more intense cardio the days I don't lift or at a different time.0

Great article. Thanks for posting
What has worked for me is 3 days of week of cardio only then 3 days a week of both cardio and strenghth training with the strength training first. That way, I can get max benefit from each half the time.0
