  • I'd think of it as resistance training

You laugh, but there is evidence that it is a real thing. :)

It's quite interesting to read all the responses. Thanks everyone for listening to me vent a bit. It would have been nice if it had been in the food court of a mall, then I would have gotten a healthier option. This restaurant only had burgers (which I don't like) and french fries... and the one garden salad (doesn't fill me up). I guess what frustrated me was that it was a restaurant that didn't really have healthy options. But as I mentioned, I did the best I could. It just wasn't satisfying and grease is making me nauseous these days. He knows these things.

I still love spending time with my Dad and wasn't offended of his choice, it was just frustrating that there weren't healthier options. Or that we couldn't have gone somewhere we both would have enjoyed equally.

Oh, and then we drove to DQ for ice cream, which I declined to partake.

The other issue I found was that he is occasionally offended when I count calories, even just to myself, if I choose less food or healthier options when eating out with him, he feels that it's less enjoyment for him. Sigh.
  • he probley didnt even think about it sence hes not watching what he eats most people just go eat what ever comes to mind or sounds good and dont think about the ones they are with. Now like me I have to think about whos with me when we go out to eat I have a grandgirl that cant have eggs and she use to not be able to eat alot of things for medical reasons but befor her I really never thought about it either.
