Although I eat oatmeal a couple days a week, I prefer a more substantial breakfast. The mornings are usually rushed trying to get the kids to school so I went looking in the frozen section of the grocery store last week. I found Jimmy Dean's D-Light Breakfast Sandwiches. These are basically McMuffins (Canadian Bacon or sausage) with around 250 calories. Great source of protein, they actually taste pretty good, and easy to take on the road or eat at work.0

I don't get tired of oatmeal either. I like Bob's redmill oatmeal with a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of maple syrup.
But other days I have Bran Buds with skim milk and a banana.
I've made egg white omelets and they are okay but what do you guys do with the yellows? I just give mine to hubby when he makes scrambled eggs.
All time favorite breakfast I've had is Belgian Waffles. And I haven't had them in a looooonnnnggg time.0 -
General Mills Cereal - Multigrain Cheerios, 1 cup 110 cal
Mountain Dairy - Milk, 4 oz 50cal
Black coffee with cinnamon powder.
Also, next week I am going to have an oatmeal smoothie with frozen fruits. A couple of scoops of raw oatmeal with milk,it is so good. It does not taste like oatmeal. The reason I am starting next week I need to buy soy milk.0 -
Pshaw, as the 30-Day Oatmeal challenged proved, there is no way to get bored with oatmeal.

I adjust the recipes a little bit sometimes to lower the calories, but hot damn, they are SO GOOD.
I've grown addicted to cottage cheese, probably because my school caf. has it and I'm too broke to buy Fage.0 -

It's great to get such a huge response on my breakfast question.
I have allergies to milk, soy, apples, cherries, pears, cinnamon, and peppers. I can only get one kind of oatmeal down which is the banana bread kind. Other than that, I just can't get it to go down.. I never liked it, but I made myself eat that kind until I could tolerate it.
So this morning I tried eggs with parm cheese and some mild salsa as some requested. MAN OH MAN was that good! There are so many great suggestions here from the salsa on eggs to PB&J to not eating breakfast at breakfast..... eat some meat, and veggies instead.
Thank you all for your responses!! Now I am looking forward to breakfasts!! :happy:0
