I just went cold turkey...Now I just put a little sugar in it...0

I used to use lots of creamer too, but instead of cutting it out entirely, now I just use 2% milk... a coffee with 2% milk and 1-2 sugars is 75 calories at MOST.
I love coffee, so I make room for this in my daily calories.0 -
I should follow your lead! I'm spending around 150 to 200 calories on coffee creamer..... I love my coffee! I have completely quit pop in the last 3 weeks though, so I figure If I just do the coffee I am doing SO much better!!!!0

Just don't drink the coffee creamer...It takes a while to get used to black coffee, or just add skim milk. Gives the colour and a bit of taste w/o the calories.0

Don't give up coffee-- just drink it black. I don't know why people ruin perfectly good coffee with cream and sugar anyway.0
-
I could never give up my coffee! Just switch to low fat milk!
No penance required, just a little switcheroo!0 -
I drink my coffee black with no sugar, It wasn't always like this but I go used to it.. Black coffee is not bad for you, it is only when you add all this sugar and creamers.0

I have just learned to love my coffee with no creamer.....I got sugar free flavored syrup at World Foods. It is yummy & I don't miss the creamer at all.0

I have my coffee with 2% milk. I do latte and cappuccino (I have a machine) and the lower fat milk actually 'froths' better than cream. :-)0

I switched to vanilla Almond milk and put two tablespoons in. The vanilla almond milk makes it sweet and a little nutty. I cut back to one tablespoon and its still great. Now, I will do one tablespoon of soy milk or one single serving Mini-Moo. 10 calories and yummy with splenda. A few extra calories if I use sugar in the raw.0

I started using a combo of while milk and coffee mate sugar free low fat hazelnut (it is only 15 cals per tbs) then adding stuff like pumpkin spice, and a little splenda or stevia to make a pumpkin spice late`.
Good luck!0 -
Use flavored coffee, like vanilla creme or hazelnut and drink it black. There are so many varieities out there, if you like the creamer for the flavor.
Good luck!0 -
I don't know what type of creamer you are using but I haven't found them to have that many calories..? About 35 per tablespoon. I know I love coffee creamer so I couldn't give it up, now I just put 2 tablespoons in my coffee0

It's a choice. I decided that I had other places I wanted my fat grams and cals to go. So I ditched it too. Do not really miss it for the most part. I had always been able to drink it black but preferred the added taste.0

I had to give it up cold turkey - now drink it black! Good luck!0

I use coffee creamer mixed with vanilla soy milk to lower the calories. I can usually go for about 50 calories a cup. It is worth it to me.0

Try a flavored Stevia!0

Have you tried the sugar free kind?0

I use almond milk:) I love my coffee-so good luck with the no coffee:)0 -
Do you use the fat free kind? If not, try that. It's a lot less calories and tastes pretty good.0

I'm one of those people that likes a dash of coffee with my cream and sugar!
My vice is Macadamia White Chocolate Mocha creamer. It's like heaven in a bottle!
Currently, at my size and with my calorie allotment, I can still afford to have it daily with my coffee. I have been drinking Earl Grey tea on occassion to change up the pace, especially when I know I won't be able to work in an exercise. Funny thing is that I usually don't drink coffee on the weekends, just at work.
And I echo Katiesleif83's remarks. I've pretty much gone cold turkey on soft drinks and my reward is keeping my coffee creamer!!
I know I can buck it if I want to. Right now it's not putting me over on my daily cal goal but eventually I'll have to sacrifice it I'm sure.
Good luck to you!

I just use skim milk and/or good vanilla protien mix.0

I was doing the same thing but instead of cutting it out I just switched my creamer to a low calorie alternative: "So Delicious, Coconut Creamer". It's only 20 calories per tablespoon! And I like it better than regular milk creamers. Coffee is SUPER important to me and I must have it and it MUST taste GOOD! There's nothing worse than crappy coffee.
12oz Regular Brewed Coffee - 5 Calories
2 tbsp Coconut Creamer - 40 Calories
2 Splenda Packets - 0 Calories
TOTAL - 45 per cup
I like the regular flavor but it comes in French Vanilla and Hazelnut too (I think the flavors are a tad higher in calories tho). You can find it at Nature's Grocer, Whole Foods or Central Market.0 -
i need to stop having lattee and go back to black coffee so im with you x0

I normally drink my coffee black but I do take a bottle of dry creamer and add pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for a special treat - 10 calories per teaspoon & 1 teaspoon sugar or splenda. I also treat myself occasionally with a liquid - right now Gingerbread which adds 35calories to a cup of coffee. I only have one cup with the Gingerbread flavor, no sugar or splenda, and then not every day.
I have found that I can trim back somewhere else to give myself a treat and therefore don't feel deprived. This isn't about being on a starvation diet but being on a total lifestyle change where we learn to make substitutions and allowances.
My philosophy is:
DIET = die
LIFESTYLE Change = life
I choose life0 -

I turned my daily coffee into my sunday morning treat - still drink it just the way I like it, but only once a week isn't a big deal!0

I just do one tablespoon for cup and drink about two cups. You stay at 76 calories.0

I used half and half for years. I was still using it foe awhile, then I went crazy and started using it for cereal. OMG! Now I use non fat milk. Pretty awful at first, but you get used to it. I threw the cereal out.
There was so much fat in the creamer an cereal. Now I eat egg whites and eggs...LOL.
No fun, but I want to lose.0 -
