Hi everyone! I just started TurboFire today and I was wondering if anyone else who has the program might want to start the 90-day challenge together?

I am just starting week 5 of the Prep Schedule. How are you going to work it?
  • Yes! I would like to start the 90 day challenge with you! I've been doing the prep for a couple of weeks now. It would be so nice if I had someone to do this with! :)

I've been trying to motivate myself to start TurboFire for a few weeks now. This might be the motivation I need! What will we do, just check in that we're on track with the program?

Yes I would ilke to join u i am on week 2 now
  • Yea I think if we commit to checking in everyday and seeing how everyone's doing with the program will help us all to stay motivated. I already did day 1 today, are you guys ok with starting today? Since, a couple people have already started, we can check in and motivate each other & then just set out a reminder when were getting close to finishing 30 days and then 90 days.

Eeek, that would mean I'd really have to start it this time! Okay, I'm gonna do it.

So today will be day one for me. Better go look up that schedule so I know what I'm in for!

So question - I've watched part of one of the workouts and felt sort of lost. Do the moves get easier as you go along? I feel like I'm gonna be flopping all over and not able to take my eyes off the TV to learn the moves!

I am part of a group called Turbo Fire. However there is not a lot of support on it. I would love to have a group that works together and to be supportive of one another. I check in with my coach every morning and to add on here would be nothing for me. I just know that I need the support to get through the next month and doing Turbo Fire every morning is a great start.

I have to do the prep still. At my weight I am not ready for the full blow out. I have lost as of this morning 10 lbs in 5 weeks.

I want to lose an additional 10 lbs before Jan 1. I think I can do it with support. I am at 224.8.

I am on day 5 of the program. I would love some support. I will send each of you a friend request and check out your progress daily. I have been doing Turbo Jam for years but on a regular basis for about 2.5 months. I love Chalene. So excited to hear how everyone does on the program. I use a Polar FT7 HRM for my workouts. How is everyone else determining calories burned?

I was planning on wearing my FT7 as well - I always wear it when I exercise!
  • Yes the moves do get easier after you do them a couple times. You start to learn what is coming up next :)

Okay, it wasn't pretty but I did it! W1D1 done! I really like that Stretch 10. I'm a yoga girl at heart so loved that she knew the right names for the poses.

    How did everyone else do?

I'm doinf turbofire too!!! Add me!! I just started week 3, I am wondering if everyone is doing the schedule or modifying... I have had to switch a couple days around but for the most part I am :)
  • Is it too late to join? I've been a Turbo fan for a year now and love the workouts. I'm currently doing a hybrid of Turbo Fire and ChaLEAN Extreme with some Insanity and Zumba thrown in to mix things up. I really need a support group for this as I am doing 2 a day workouts at least 4 days each week. Some days I just want to sit and be a lump but once I put that DVD on and get going I know it's what I need!

  • Hi Everyone!

Great to hear that every one started off good this week. Just finished Day 2 HIIT 15 + Stretch 1! Day 1 was not bad, I loved all the coordination moves! I made sure to drink a protein shake after working out yesterday & I'm not sore at all.- Just a tip.

  • Hi Terri!

W1D2 done. I, like Charlotte, did HIIT 15 + Stretch 10. Those HIIT routines are no joke - I don't think I've ever burned that many calories in 15 minutes!

Stacey, I am planning on following the schedule, although I might change my rest day.

Welcome Terri! We're just checking in as we finish each day - that's enough to keep me accountable too!

Those of you using a HRM about how many calories are you burning doing the workouts?
  • Hi everyone! Just finished fire 30 and stretch 10! WOOT! lol I can't wait till tomorrow to try fire 55. Hope everyone is doing great!! Just like Molly was asking, anyone who's using a HRM, how many calories are you burning during HIIT classes?

I have Fire 30 tonight as well, and I'm sort of nervous for my first long class. An hour of TurboFire? Wow!

I have only done the one HIIT 15 (on Tuesday) and I burned 189 calories according to my HRM. So that's about 12.5 per minute - an insane amount!

I already started it two days ago but love to do it with you guys! I have Fire 30 tonight+10Stetch , but I am also going to do 20 min Turbo Jam Abs :) During the HIIT 15 class yesterday I burned 202 cals, I also did Turbo jam Sculpt (40min) and Turbo Jam Booty Sculpt&Abs (30min) with it and the 10 Stretch Class, between all those I burned total of 1006 cals! :D

They totally get easier! The more you do it, the easier. I felt lost at first when I did Turbo Jam but than once I got the moves I loved it even more, and now I am having to adjust to the Turbo Fire moves too, sometimes I fall behind cause I forget which moves comes next, but I do the best I can and keep myself moving no matter what :)

Just completed day 3, I skipped the rest day for another day. Did the FIRE 30 Class (Did with "New to Class" option)+ 10 Stretch Class and also threw in 20 min Turbo Jam Ab Jam video plus my 16min walk to and from work. My HRM says I burned 742 cals +60 cals from walking=802 total, yay! Noticed I am getting better with the moves and can follow the routine much better and faster than day 1 :)

That's amazing Stazzy! I didn't think about incorporating the TurboJam videos - I have them but never did the program. I sort of stumbled through Fire 30 today - I find I lose it when she mixes up arms and leg movements. Oh wait, that's the whole VIDEO! I found that I could anticipate a little better but I have a long way to go to feel like a pro.

First long class tomorrow - Fire 55 EZ. A whole hour! :noway: Sheesh, I might collapse.

hahaha, totally know how you feel, I have long way to go to feel like a pro
Its difficult to follow her when it changes up so fast and so many moves, but turning it into "New to Class" mode really helps, and burns extra 100 cal for those extra 10 min where she teaches the moves  Are you feeling sore? My shoulders, arms and back are so sore!
I am doing the Fire 55 EZ tomorrow too, I am going to also add 30 min of Turbo Jam Booty Sculpt+Abs, it will be a killer combo
I did Turbo Jam before this and it came to where I combined like 2-4 videos into one so than I realized it's prob time to move up to something tougher, but I feel guilty when I exercise less than an hour, I love burning a lot, it means I can eat yummy stuff after  and treat myself to beer on weekends, heeheehehe :drinker:

The New to Class breakdowns are very helpful, and I know it'll get easier in time. My arms are really sore - but in addition to all these punches and combos I'm doing pushups and additional arms challenges so I'm doomed to not be able to lift my arms for the rest of the week...

I couldn't get all the way through Fire 55 tonight. I have been getting very bad side stitches lately and after pausing it three times I finally gave up. I'm disappointed but am hopeful they'll get better and I can make it through the whole class!

Hey guys! So happy I completed Week 1 of Turbo Fire and pushed my self extra by throwing in Turbo Jam with it!
So yesterday I did (with HRM): TURBO FIRE: FIRE 55 EZ CLASS (791cals, 70min, New To Class Version)+TURBO JAM BOOTY SCULPT+ABS (30min, 278cal)+16min Walk (60cals).
Today I did (with HRM): TURBO FIRE 20 CORE CLASS (20min, 154cals), TURBO JAM 20MIN CARDIO (190cals), TURBO JAM SCULPT (40min, 358cals). Did Turbo Sculpt instead of STRETCH 40 Class, I will do warm up tomorrow (my rest day) and do the stretch class than instead, I need the extra calories today for beer with friends :drinker:
Good news, a little less sore today!

Fire 30 today! I'm also doing Turbo Jam on certain days. I was able to do the burpees today when before I could only do the modified version.
