I'm going to give the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred but how do I put it in my exercise diary?

    If you don't have a heartrate monitor, logging 20 minutes of general circuit training is a fairly decent estimate. Not perfect, but decent. N:-)

    Or if you want to be more precise use a heart rate monitor to track your calories.

    I'm logging it at 20 min of circuit training too. I'm doing day 9 today!!!
  • yea if you dont have an HRM then put it under circuit training general. However, unless you are really big, ive noticed my friends and i usually burn around 180-200 calories doing it.

    I found that doing P90x and Insanity burned way more than what MFP had for exercises. See what the average is for your workout from other people. Everyone is different (weight and fitness level) and if your out of shape, calories burned will be higher.

    HRM is the only way.

    I'm doing the 30DS right now. I am getting a HRM for Christmas, until then I just guess. I went to posts where people talked about how many calories they burned and a good average seems to be around 200. Since I don't log any of my daily general activity, I only count exercise I figure it's ok if I'm a little off. For sure can't wait to get my HRM and see what it really is though!
