Hope it's not too late to join you all. Would love to keep motivated in December. It's so difficult to lose weight at this time for me. My starting weight as of December 1 was about 180.5. Will leave the weigh-in the same-Thursdays.

Hey everyone (and welcome to all the newcomers)...
It's already Dec 5th, and I'm finally checking in. I may have indulged a little too much during my birthday celebrations... and now the Christmas celebrations are starting up. It's going to be a tough month, but I need to get some focus, as I've been heading in the wrong direction for Oct and Nov. I gained 1 pound each month instead of losing 5.
On Dec 1st, I weighed in at 150. And today, I'm up to 152. EEK!! :noway:
I must get back on track. The shorter colder days have really thrown my workouts out the window. I must start exercising again. @Terri, great idea to aim for at least 1-mile per day! It's more than what I've been doing too! Hope your toe is feeling better soon. Thanks for the challenge idea - I'll try to remember to park farther away.
@Bru - I'm totally in your dust... I was almost keeping up with you a few months ago on those HMT runs! Great work - so glad to see you sticking with it. j
@Jen+2, congrats on losing a pant size! I'm planning to join you in the 140's again. I've hit my "RED ALERT" weight (i.e. anything over 150) and need to make some changes.

DMG - Im trying really hard and Im doing really good at not drinking as much soda.. couldn't quit completely but I hardly have more than a can or two a week rather than 3600 calories worth per week : )0

I am totally in!!! I hit a plateau after Thanksgiving and decided to pull out my secret weapon: The Special K Challenge!!! It has pulled me through 2 plateaus already with about a 4-6 pound loss in 2 weeks each time. I started it on Tuesday November 28th, today is Day 8 and I am down 3 lbs since my weigh in on Thanksgiving Morning. I hit my 25lb loss I wanted to be down 30lbs by Christmas!! Lets do this!! I know we all can Friend me so we can push each other to reaching our goals!!!!!

jumped on the elliptical today!!! it was awesome... did 25 minutes thismorning..
I figrured out my problem with getting motivated for exercise.. I was always trying to wait till the kids were asleep at 7pm and I never felt like it by then cause I just wanted to wind down n relax at the end of the day so the new plan is to wind down at the end of the day but only for two hours and try to be in bed by 9:30 instead of midnight that way I can get up in the morning and do it.. today I had ate breakfast and started exercising by 9:00 and usually im dragging myself out of bed by then..0 -
