My hip bones have always stuck out, even now that I've gained weight. I thought about getting a surgery done to have them removed.....

I'm sorry, I was stuck looking at the picture. Can you re-type everything you just said? I missed it.

hahaha im torn...part of me wants to say its attractive, part of me thinks hip bones should not jut out like that

It's all about body frame. At a petite 5'4", my hip bones do this currently, and I still have 20 lbs. to go (and will be within a healthy BMI).

She's not too thin. I really wish people would stop posting on MFP about how they think fit women are too skinny.

I agree..she is not too thin My stomach was like that at 19. She is young!!!

While I don't think she's APPEARS to be too thin in the pic, I have to say it's hard to tell when someone is wearing jeans, laying down, and twisted like that.

One thing should be noted though... The "gap" and "mind the gap" type of pictures are pictures of people who like to have a 3-4+ inch gap between their thighs when standing up, feet together normally. Usually, this is obtained in an unhealthy manner, but some people have genetics that make it more natural I suppose. Runway models often have this gap if that puts things into perspective. I'm not talking about simply not touching in the middle, but a clear gap which you could straddle a 4x4 without touching it. That's the unhealthy part.

Geez... I hate when they post my pic without permission...! :glasses:

Those kinds of belly buttons creep me out. Like they started turning them inside out when they were a baby! Ew. That is definitly a deal breaker for me. Sorry guys. I want a belly button I can pick lint out of!

Her hipbones stick out like that because she is laying down. Gravity!
my thoughts, as well. I wouldn't mind having her body.

I guess i should clarify that this was also posted by a guy who once bragged that he "got a girl skinny by telling her she was fat" yea, that girl developed an eating disorder after he cheated on her......so yea, probably the reason the photo hits a nerve with me is the person who posted it
Okay, now that's messed up. This guy would not be on my friend's list though.

Being an American living in my third country so far, I can say with pretty firm certainty:

A lot (not all) of Americans seem to have a skewed perspective:
-Skinny in America is normal most elsewhere
    -Normal is overweight
    -Overweight is morbidly obese

Anyways, I dont understand the photo o-O can someone explain what it has to do with Friday...and what the meaning is behind it?
I completely agree. I've only lived here, but I've had people tell me that I didn't need to lose weight when I was overweight. Our standards certainly are skewed.
