    Squat - 1RM is 240 lbs
    Deadlift - 1RM 240 lbs
    Bench - 1RM 135 lbs

I got burned out on lifting heavy, so I'm doing about half of that now.....just to change things up a bit. I'm more focused on running at the moment.

My little 15 pound hand weights are about all I can handle!

    Squat: 95 lb.
    Dead: 95 lb.
    Bench: 55 lb.
    Pull-ups: negative 95 lbs. :ohwell:

I lift about 2x week (3 if I'm really motivated) and I have a great gym, so I'm lucky there. Pretty happy I'm about to break into the triple digits on squats and deads after ~2 months, when I started with just the bars.

I mainly do machines, and the barbell I may pick up in time, but right now I don't have a need for it.

The weights vary so much with the machines.. I wouldn't even know what numbers to give you!

I consider myself pretty weak still.

My last PRs, although some of these are a couple of months old now. I haven't tried to max on them recently. I really should.

    Clean and Jerk - 80lbs
    Snatch - 70lbs
    Back barbell squat - 130lbs
    Front barbell squat - 120lbs
Overhead barbell squat - 80lbs (although that was the very first time I'd ever done those)
    Kettlebell swing - 45lbs

It's been over 6 months since I last did my CrossFit Total, so I'm sure my deadlift and shoulder press are much higher than the (DL) 115lbs and (SP) 60lbs that I have recorded as my max....

I've been following lifting plans since summer, and I am now using NROLFW. I'm on Stage 1, getting ready to start part 2.

For sets of 12, my stats are as follows:
    Deadlift - 138 lbs (120 in plates + bar)
    Squats- 125 lbs
Overhead Press- 58 lbs (40 in plates + bar)
    Row- 90 lbs
    Lat Pulldown- 90 lbs

I haven't benched in a bit, but my last exercise was 80 lbs in dumbbells, 110 lbs on smith (no rack at my gym, unfortunately).

I'm 5'8.5 and about 160 lbs, so these numbers have a lot of growing to do still.

I am just now getting back to heavy lifting, but last year my 1 rep max on the squat was 220 lbs, and 225 lbs for the dead lift. I hope I can get back there, and even add weight!

  • Hey guys. I literally just started lifting today. My dead lift is currently 55(embarrassing)
I'm 5'2" and 135 lbs, how long should it take me to be able to lift my bodyweight?

    thanks!

    3 months?

I started at 65lbs 2 months ago, I can now do 135 (which isn't body weight for me). But I'm also eating at a surplus which I think means I should progress faster than someone lifting at a deficit.

I'm in Stage 1, Week 3 of NROLW. I'm 44 years old, 5'11", 150#. I've never lifted before, so I'm focusing on form for now, and adding weight S-L-O-W-L-Y.

    My #'s thus far:
    Squat: 75#
    Rows: 60#
    Stepups: 50#, 12" step
    Deadlift: 75#
    Shoulder press: 30#
    Wide grip lat pulldown: 70#
    Weighted lunge: 50#.

I'm worried that I'm being too timid with my weight selection, but I'd rather be on the safe side. My goal is merely to do better this week than last week, every week.

I gotta say ladies.. I am very impressed with your weights!!!

I personally use the machines. I don't quite have the upper body strength going on yet, but I am working on it. The highest I go right now is 60lbs. My legs are the other hand seem to be beasts!! I am currently doing 255 lbs. My goal for my upper body is just to get stronger and stronger, but no numbers in mind. As for my legs, the machine goes to a max of 395... I don't know if I will ever get there, but I am gonna damn well try!! :)

    We did CFT again tonight.

Back squat 155# (failed at 165)
    shoulder press 80#
dead lift 185# (failed at 195)

One thing on this though, the weight you can push on a leg press is far greater than what you can squat (which naturally also includes your own body weight). If you are physically able and feel confident enough, I'd really recommend starting squatting with a barbell.

Just out of curiousity, those of you who lift heavy, exactly how heavy? In different exercises like squats, deadlifts, bicep curls or whatever exercises you prefer :)

I have no idea what my 1 rep max is for any of those. Honestly.

I can tell you what I am lifting for my 3 sets of around 8-10 reps though.

    Squat: 125 pounds
    Deads: 125 pounds
Bicep Curls (done on an incline bench): 20 pounds

And some others that I like that you didn't list, all of them are my weights during 3 sets of around 8-10 reps:

    Flat Bench Press: 85 pounds
    Lat Pull-downs: 70 pounds
    Leg Press: 220 pounds
    Shoulder Press: 75 pounds
    Overhead Tricep Extensions: 35 pounds
Hammer Strength Lat Pulls: 45 pound plate per arm (90 total for the machine, I do both arms at the same time)

And I also like to do 3 sets of military push-ups and diamond tricep push-ups (no knees for me...ever) and normally do around 25 or so per set.

Maybe one day I will load up the weights and find out what my one rep max is for each of those. I just don't have reason to right now other than to brag that I can do "this many" pounds which isn't what I am aiming for anyway. :flowerforyou:

out of curiosity for those of you who deadlift do you use the bar and plates or do you use the bar that you stand inside of and lift?

I use an Olympic bar loaded up with plates. I started out with the pre-loaded barbells, but decided after about 2 weeks to go to the rack and load up my own bar.
  • Stats: 5ft3 and 121 pounds

    1 rep max:
Deads; 225 <--- Barbell and plates
    Squat: 175
    Bench: 95
    Cleans: 85

Those are the only ones I really have numbers for xD
