I have read a few articles that say some compounds in green tea can help with weight loss. I don't know if it works, but I'm drinking about 3 cups a day. Plus it tastes good! ;)

LOVE grren tea and if it helps w/ weight loss all the better :) good luck
  • The nutritionist I saw said that 4-6 cups of green tea that has steeped for 4 to 6 minutes has shown to increase metabolism. This could help with your weigh-tloss.

I think its supposed to accelerate metabolism, nothing else. I was losing weight more rapidly when I was drinking 3-4 cups of it daily, but then again weight loss slows down after a few months.

LOL first ever time Ive been quoted --- very happy
  • If you're drinking a lot of tea, it means you're fuller, so you won't eat as much other food, which could lead to weight loss.

Can't say it's helped me lose weight, but I drink it all the time-green tea with chai and a little sweetner is great to me!

I used to drink it, and I'll say it did help suppress my appetite, but then i found out it can , suppress the effectiveness of birth control pills, so i don't drink it now, cause I'm scared :( Don't need another one of those right now.

I buy the tea bags and use stevia sweetner. It's calorie free, but natural.

I have tried drinking green tea but whenever I do it makes me throw up. About 15 minutes after drinking, I get bad nausea and then have to puke. Has anyone else had this problem?

FYI I don't have this issue with other kinds of tea. I can drink white tea, black tea, fruit teas, decaf/regular, etc. and I'm fine.

the anti-oxidants in green tea block iron absorption, so I would avoid this if you have any history of anemia

I am actually about to try to first go-around with green tea! I've have the bottled green teas, but they have some sugar and stuff. I'm making just brewed green tea, icing it, and seeing how it goes for me! :)
  • its to help lose weight yes.

try genmaicha green tea. I love it, and it is best dranken straight.. you wouldn't want to sweeten it. Its a sencha green tea (slightly grassy), mixed with roasted rice. I believe coffee bean sells it in tea bags. you could also search online. Its my go to green tea. zero calories and delicious. More of a savory tea.

I heard it (especially combined with lemon) is really helpful so I started drinking it at the beginning of trying to lose weight. I don't have a time I wasn't drinking it to compare to but it's good with lemon, and it makes me feel like I'm doing everything I can. I'm drinking it right now!

I drink it too- I heard it helps weight loss- not sure why- but I drink tea anyway- in the evening I drink decaf peppermint tea to relax and unwind.

I look at any kind of tea this way: It's liquid which helps fulfill water requirments, it's zero calories, and sipping hot tea throughout the day or evening keeps you from munching!
