Personally, I prefer to use two....but thats only if the exclamation point remains unused.

Hummm ????, well I guess you could be correct here- as I see it, we all do get excited and carry on when we drop a few ounces....LOLOLOL, so why not use some LOUD REMARKS ON HERE TO GET THE POINT ACCROSS!!!!!!!! :-)

So just to be clear, is exclamation point a euphemism for..... Oh never mind, I'm.drunk. I can think of lots of uses for an exclamation point right now.

Since joining this site, has anyone else found they are using exclamation points with greater and greater frequency? I read about great burns and NSVs and a simple period does not seem to convey my excitement and pride for the person, regardless of the sentence content. But regular use of ! seems to lessen their intensity and I have found myself, on occasion, using !!. I've even had to restrain myself from using !!!, which I've been told is a sign of mental instability .

Just a random thought I had this morning. I want to convey my sincere joy but does overuse of ! start to appear saccharine?
