Aliens... fact or fiction?

This has nothing to do with weight loss but it has everything to do with "Chit-chat, fun, and games".

In recent years it seems that a lot more people seem to believe that aliens exist. Whether it be the ancient alien theory or aliens having a part in creating us or anything else.

I would like to hear other people's opinions on the subject. Do you think aliens exist out there and if so, are they visitng now or have they visited Earth in the past? How much time have you spent looking into the subject, if any?

I figure that, with all of the zillions of suns out there, and the subsequent planets surrounding said suns, there's GOT to be other life forms out there. I don't think they look anything like what Hollywood has made them out to be, and I don't think they've been to earth, but I'd bet they exist.

I love watching shows like Universe and about astro physics. I personally believe there is life on other planets. Now whether or not theres intelligent life is unknown.I dont believe in aliens visiting Earth as UFOS was a great cover story the US government set up while they were testing plains in Area 51 back in the day. With the new telescope we just put into space (kepler) we can now see earth size planets and we have found some that are close to a star but not to close. Getting there is a whole different story. I do believe what Dr. Stephen Hawkings said about aliens being a predator and that we shouldnt be giving our location of earth away by trying to reach other life. Basically, he believes like all living creates on earth competition exists between species and if an alien species was to come to Earth it wouldnt be here to be looking for friends but to reap the resources we have to offer

1. There's nothing else out there, or
2. Their so far away we'll never find out about them

I was a skeptic but found the subject intriguing. I started looking at the facts a little closer a few years ago and I will say there are some very compelling arguments as well as proof if you choose to believe it. I know there are a lot of people out there that will never be convinced even if an alien spacecraft landed on their house.
You definitely have to have an open mind and be willing to accept criticism.

I believe they're out there and from the evidence I've seen, I definitely believe they've been visiting Earth for thousands of years if not longer.

I think it's plausible. Even likely. The universe is far too vast for it to just be us.

I saw the video of this the other day. The "saucer" that was on the back of the rig had landing gear. Must have been some kind of secret plane the military was transporting. I've never seen a picture of a flying saucer with landing gear.

While I think it is certainly a possibility,I wouldn`t say it was a certainty that life exists elsewhere.
As far as them visiting here eventually it becomes a matter of faith as one has to dismiss the real difficulties involved with covering the vast distance of space.
The "they are more advanced and have means of travel we just don`t understand" idea.
It explains nothing but assumes it is so.

Using that theory though it raises the questions as to how many different forms,how did they find us,what is the purpose and why have they not made direct contact rather then peeking in and running off.
None of it makes sense as we know it so once more we have to pass it off as motives that we just don`t understand.
At some point for me there becomes too many unanswered questions just brushed off,much the same as with other legendary entities such as Bigfoot (why no carcass found,no live one captured etc).

Fun to think about as sci fi goes but very doubtful we have been or are being visited.

i think that to say "there's no such thing" is to deny a lot of math. and the fact that we found fossilized single-celled organisms on Mars, means that at SOME time alien life DID exist.

so i think they're most definitely FACT.

now the abduction, anal probe stories... those i doubt.

ancient aliens? awesome theory, with some evidence... but is it enough? no. not for fact. but for conjecture and for scifi original movies? most definitely!

I think it needs to be defined. Life doesn't not mean intelligent life.
