MY highest was 138 I got down to 123 but gained a few recently i fluctuate between around 130-128 these days trying to maintain 125-120 but it's very hard for me my body is comfortable at 130/128!!! :( I'll send you a photo via email I'm just computer illiterate can't figure out how to post it here :) lol feel free to friend me also we can motivate eachother !!!

Exactly true for me, as well! I started at 145-150 (5' 7")and got down to 125, but it was VERY hard to maintain. I am now always between 128-130 and that is where my body is happiest, so I am just going to stay right there and tone up :).

Hmm yes, I am 5'8.5" and at 125 I would be insanely skinny.

    How tall are you guys?

I would like to get to 150 I just can't see myself into the 130's at my height and frame, I would be very very skinny.

However I share the pain on the boob loss, down to a 34B already.

I'm 5'5, and mercifully, my boobs didn't shrink much. But then again, I didn't gain boobage with weight, which really pissed me off because my whole life everyone kept telling me I was only small because I was slim. I did get back boobs, but not front boobs.

These days, I don't give a damn what the scale says. I go more by how clothes fit. At 125# in October, I bought a pair of size 7 juniors jeans. Last week, at 130#, I got size 5 in the same brand, and the size 3 fit, but squashed my bum too much.

i guess its time to find me a husband to buy me some too!!! hahahaha :)

Girl me too! I'm already barely a B, and they seem to be the first things to go. Damn it! I wish I could afford to buy some new ones myself cause honestly, that'd be motivation enough if I knew I'd actually get them! I want boobs sooo bad! :(

for the love of God, muscle does NOT weigh more than fat. it takes up less space is all.

That's what "weighs more than" means in the comparative sense. Obviously one pound of muscle is going to weigh the same as one pound of fat. But given certain size parameters, 1 cu ft of muscle is heavier than 1 cu ft of fat.

Just like a pile of feathers weighs less than a pile of bowling balls, if the piles are of equal size.

Thats what I heard on Biggest Loser also. Get sick in tired of people gaining and assuming that they gained muscle weight. (just a excuse in my opinion) Pull the twinkie out of your mouth and get a grip! I believe if you are working on losing weight and you gain it is NOT muscle weight, possible water but most likely you should take a peak at what your eating!

People use bump to get more comments on something... keep this topic active and usually seen by more people

Bump either means they're bumping the topic to the top of the forum, or bumping it onto their "my topics" list.

On one hand... yeah, it annoys me when people instantly say, "You're just putting on muscle!" On the other hand, I know fluctuations happen and aren't anything to stress about, so if you're looking and feeling smaller but the scale says you gained, screw the scale!

Hello! This is my first post. Woohoo! I'm down from 146.5 to 141.5 as of this morning, and I'm trying to get to 129 (haven't been below 130 in at least 6 years). I'm so thrilled to be DOWN 5 pounds during the holidays!

We could be twins! I was 147, and as of Monday was 141.5! My heaviest was 152, my goal is 130, but really want 125. I am happy to be losing during the holidays too, but this week has been bad. Oh well, I will just step it up after New Year's!

I"ve always been skinny 110-115 at 5'5,(29 years old), but after having a baby my body went n flipped out. she's 6 alraedy and I still cant lose it. Im stuck indoor for most of the winter ( Alaska) I stick to a 1200. I work out reg and still at 162!!! I'd love to lose at least 30. I've been doing 30 day shred and hour of cardio it seams like i'm gainning not loseing. What do you girls do? It seams to me like the bigger people lose it much quicker ( i know cuz they have more to lose etc) but what works for you under the 150 girls?.... Im just sick of being the biggest one in the family and half the time in the room.

1200 calories wasn't nearly enough for me. If I eat too little, the weight doesn't want to budge. I did best around 1400-1500 plus exercise calories, typically between 1800-2000 a day total.

Oh my god that chic looks amazing, that is what i want to look like my goal weight is 145 i am 5'5

Is that even possible after having 2 kids? i feel like i have this baby bulge that will probably never go away!
  • I'm 5'4... I ****ing just weighed myself again and now its 141 again.. pissin me off i need to stay away from the scale. and I dont think I could put 250 a month towards that, thats why I need a husband to pay for them!! :)

It sure kicks your butt!! I tried insanity for a few days and it was too much for me. I use this along with Slim in 6 and an hour of Cardio, ( walking/jogging) I feel like im getting enough physical activity in at least i hope i am..
  • sounds like it! lol
  • The reason I ask height is you can't just say "pics of women at 140" because just 1" can make a big difference. Someone at 5'3" "might" look chunky at 140 but someone 5'9" is gonna be skinny.

Someone already posted it but MyBodyGallery is a great site to see examples of that. I am curious what weight I should aim for to get the look I want, I am thinking 140-150 would be ideal at 5'8.5"

While I do claim I am more interested in fitness than what weight I am it is hard not to think about it!

I have to agree with LorinalLynn - don't get hung up on the scale. It will cause so much stress and will actually hurt your results. The main thing to remember is that muscle weighs more than fat. When I was in the Army, I saw a nutrition and she asked me what I would like to get down to. I told her I was shooting for 145. She laughed at me. Not because it wasn't doable but because with my height, body frame and muscle mass, I would literally look sick and anorexic. A little meat on your bones is healthy. Now I did eventually get down to 145 but you could see my bones sticking out in certain picks. It is doable, but I think I would rather have the muscle then focus on the scale. Recently, I have been doing P90X. I was getting really disgusted because in the first 30 days it seemed like the scale never budged. I am posting the link to were I have been documenting my journey. Currently I am on Day 80 and only have 10 more days to go to finish the full 90 days. However, at Day 30 I had only lost 3.3 pounds (which you can see the results on Day 29 because that was my weigh in day. However, Day 30 is where the picture is. It is a big difference. Funny cause I didn't notice it until I took the picture. But, you would never guess I only lost 3.3 pounds!

You are very correct. Excuse me I miss stated that. It is just a saying that generally people say all the time. I meant that if you are gaining muscle you may not always see the results on the scale right awy because you aren't necessarily replacing but you are building. Therefore if you add 5 pounds of muscle but don't lose any fat you will come up a head on the scale.
But what is more important about the whole thing is how you feel about yourself. Focusing on the number can be dangerous and lead to eating disorders. I know someone currently who is barely 100 pounds soaking wet and is still trying to get that number lower. It is a health issue... that is all. If your body can't handle being a certain weight, you will never get there regardless of how hard you try.
