Yep, coffee is a bean so that means calories, just not a lot. I usually drink 7 cals worth in the morning. I get mine from local roasters and like the Somalian and Ethiopian beans. We bought ourselves a fancy schmancy espresso maker for Christmas and now I get to enjoy wonderful doppios and cappucinos in the afternoon. Ahhhh...

    My fav thread!

If you have good quality coffee..no additives are necessary. Do you know why Starbucks has all those syrups? To hide the flavor of their nasty coffee.

    I drink my coffee BLACK.

    Intelligentisa, Metropolis, Alterra.

    my suggestions -
Intelligentsia- Ethiopian yirgacheffe, Metropolis- Spice Island, Alterra- Delta Mud!

    DIrect-Trade, Fair Trade.

    Yummy!

    NO SUGAR or CREAM needed!

I'm a COFFEE SNOB. I have been known to pay $7.00 for a cup of Inteligentsia coffee!

If you have quality coffee...you seriously don't need any additives whatsoever. Truly good coffee needs nothing else!
  • Usually I like it black. But occasionally I'll treat myself and add a tiny amount of vanilla soymilk or I'll make a latte using Unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Yum!

Coffee snob... good coffee - black or espresso. Bad coffee - not at all.
    Yup.

Good coffee doesn't need stuff in it -- bad coffee isn't helped by stuff in it.

We drink Sbux (but not all their roasts) when we are out and about, fair trade organic shade grown dark roast coffees at home - this morning, however, it is Sbux Christmas Blend, fresh ground just before the hot water hits it...
  • I will say anything but Starbuck's French Roast - it tastes like burnt cigarettes to me - blechk ! ! !

French pressed. Usually get it at Walmart where they sell the local coffee shop's selection whole bean. I grind it on coarse there. A splash of non fat milk and a tablespoon of sugar! This goes in 16 oz of coffee. :)

  • If I'm treating myself: Starbucks Venti Vanilla Soya Latte (sugar-free) = 220 cals
If I'm not eating breakfast (I have bad acid reflux some days): coffee with 100 ml light soya milk and 1 cube brown sugar = 40 cals
If it's a normal day: black!

    :)

    Strong straight black.

Cafe Rico Puerto Rican style pure coffee ground

When I'm treating myself Millstone flavored coffee nothing added, I treat myself often with coffee.

Daily home brewed Starbucks Pike, occasionally adding sugar free amaretto.
