How much thought do you give to what you wear to the gym? Is it based or performance or fashion?
For me it's perfromance first and I'm also OCD about mathing so I factor that in as well.

I don't give it too much thought. I wear what covers me and is comfortable. Usually it's capri-yoga pants and a racer-back tank top. If it's really cold out, I wear the same pants but I'll wear a thin cheapy long-sleeve thermal but I usually regret that when I get going in the gym.
My pants aren't super skin tight like a lot of girls' are that I see, but not loose, and my tops are snug but mostly to help keep the girls subdued [along with snug sports bras]
So...function, I suppose.0 -
Its alot....I love spandex...so the majority of my fits are that...and Nike, Danskin are my favorites...I have to be matching...Some clothing just don't absorb sweat correctly on the body...and you still want to look presentable...0

both...I'm a girl!0

I make sure my clothing matches but that is just cuz I am OCD about that, as far as what people think I dont really care. I go to the gym late at night and personally I go when nobody is there so I don't have to talk to people. I want to get in and out without BS'ing when I am all sweaty.0

I try to wear functional stuff that doesn't make me look like I snuck in from the back alley where I live in my refrigerator box.0

I usually wear just a solid colored tee from Old Navy or Gap, and exercise pants (black) that are not too skin tight. My body isn't good enough for that look -- yet0
-
whatever...I hate buying gym clothes...
I'd rather spend money on pretty things :flowerforyou:0 -

Especially as I go to swim... not much use being fashionable and wet :laugh:0 -
Its based on comfort and the type of workout I'm doing. I don't need to impress people at the gym - I'm there to better myself.0

Both. I want to look cute and be comfortable.0

I wear Nike, Danskin, or underarmor capri's/ pants.. But my shirts are Fruit of the loom V-necks.. LOL... I'd like to get more fashionable for the gym, but just haven't gotten around to buy the cute work out fits yet..0

Comfort comes first.
I'm there to improve my health and fitness, not for a fashion parade or a vanity-fest.0 -
Right now Im overseas on a deployment because Im in the military. So all we can wear are our PT gear to work out in. Otherwise, when Im back at home...I go to the gym in just regular looking workout clothes. The styles vary but I dont care what people are thinking because Im too focused on getting the job done and getting fit!!! Leggooo!!!!! :bigsmile:0

Performance.
I cannot squat in a pair of spandex because it travels places.... and i NEED flat shoes or else its bare Feet.
I can bench press in about anything. usually a hoodie and a pair of jeans.
I can only deadlift in thin tight shorts.
Most everything else semi-tight t-shirt.
Come game day its all squat/bench/deadlift gear.0 -
I like to look cute / sexy in workout clothes, motivates me better. I find I am super uncomfy is loose fitting things or sloppy looking things, or stuff that doesn't match. I like to wear spandex pants and fitted t-shirts and / or hoodies, cute but functional.0

I just wear something comfortable. Some shorts, a t-shirt that I don't mind sweating in.. and that's pretty much it.0
-
I wear mainly all black so my sweat doesn't show and it's usually yoga type pants and a t-shirt.0

well ive learned wearing boxers and squating dont go well together........0
