*Ferrero Rochers - to be given to my dad
*Hershey's 6.8oz milk chocolate with almonds bar - to be split with my father, I do love milk chocolate + almonds ;)
*Chocolate covered potato chips - shouldn't be as good as they are, dammit! They should taste disgusting, not addicting!
*Mini Lindor dark chocolate balls - to be stashed away for when I need a treat...mmm
*Bag of assorted Toblerone pieces - again, stashed away
*White hot chocolate pack and peanut butter hot chocolate pack - another thing to be hidden away for when cravings hit, ahaha
Yes, it has been a sugar-filled holiday!

1 lb box of See's candy... I cut them all open to find my absolute faves, ate those and threw the rest away - most of the box...
A huge plate of homemade cookies from the boss.... Ate a few but they did not taste as good as the 8 lbs I lost in the past 2 weeks, so they went buh-bye too...

1 pound peppermint bark from Williams Sonoma.

I got some tall socks which I don't wear with no tag on them...gave them to my mom!

I am happy my mom is on board with my health! I ate a lot of sweets in the past couple of days but she doesn't give me packages of sweets for Valentine's and Easter anymore!

I got lucky this year and didn't get anything horrid but my son got a large jacket from his godparents because they thought he was "bigger".
They all came over and made a big stink about him being "so skinny" and so "malnourished looking" and "why is he so small?". They're all like the opposite of the pro-ana people, they're heavy and proud of it. Guess its good that they have good self esteem but no need to put my boy down like that. He went into his room and cried and asked me if he could start lifting weights and drinking Ensure.
    He's 10.
That was pretty horrible. Poor baby has my skinny azz build.

Wow - and I was upset because my SO bought me nothing and hasn't even acknowleged the fact that it is christmas; oh my silly me!

    aww I'm sorry :(

Who knows why he is such a scrooge, but this is the first year that he has done this! Beginning to wonder if it is time to do some soul searching; maybe it is time for me to do for me. 45 and not happy with our non-relationship.

on a positive note I will say that it will be quiet some time before I don't have hard feelings about this. To look on the bright side at least the night I day I spent with my 2 youngest grandchildren wa awesome - I took them shopping for new clothes and shoes, had pizza for dinner then opened their presents. I figured I hated getting clothin for presents so they got to go shopping and pick out what they wanted and even though it was a present they had no clue! They are 5 and 6 and we had a woonderful time.

    So. Many. Sweets.
    So. Many. I don't even.... I can't even... :noway:
So I threw most of it away.

I also 'won' an automatic candy dispenser in a White Elephant exchange. I was going to fill it with nuts/raisins and take it to work, but even those things are dangerous in small, frequent amounts, so It will be going to the co-worker who I never visit, who always has M and M's on her desk.... No risk there!!!

I only got 2 presents this year, One from my parents, and One from My sister's Boyfriend (Note: Nothing from my actual sister). If it wasn't for my son I would have just left for Christmas

Big box o' cheese, with accompanying wine and chocolates. But we'll stretch it out and maybe I can pass the chocolates on to someone. Or let my spouse eat them.

I did have to make a specific "no candy in my stocking" request to my partner. He helpfully obliged. So I figure I'm a little farther ahead than other Christmases.

Now, I have to develop a workout plan to help with the plum pudding and hard sauce I had with dinner!
  • money.... to buy chocolate ;)

Wish I could take everyone's unwanted gifts in this thread

50% off at the grocery stores is the next best thing though

A migraine and puffy eyes from crying and a broken end table and a plastic tree in the front yard with the lights still attached from the 5 hour horrible fight my husband and I had today. However, we called a "truce" about 4 hours ago and exchanged gifts and just had dinner. Other than that a box of chocolates from a friend who while handing it to me said I know these will ruin your diet and laughed. Gee. Thanks. Merry Christmas.

OK, just seen a topic asking what was the best keep-fit present received for Christmas, so let’s turn it on its head….what was the worst keep-fit/diet item received for Christmas.

    Ours was 6 tins of Roses/Quality Street/Heros – harsh!

Recently became a Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian... Mother-In-Law gave me a BBQ Cookbook on Hamburgers. I haven't eaten actually ground meat in years. Many years ago I worked as a butcher and I know what falls into the grinder.

She knows that I haven't eaten ground or processed meat for years. Until recently I only ate whole cuts of meat (i.e. steaks, chops etc...) ummm.... hello? Perhaps you missed the part about me being Vegetarian? Or maybe the last 10 years of my visits where I told you I don't eat ground or processed meats?

Not to be outdone, she knows my wife (her daughter) can't wear earings as her ears infect very easily... she gives my wife some large, dangly costume jewelry earings, a set of bowls and a potato masher. OK. Can we trade back our presents now? You clearly don't know us and we'll be on our way now.

If she keeps it up, the MIL is going to be MIA...
