No kidding Dave. I feel so much better than I did a year ago.

You can do it Pamela, just don't get discouraged, and remember to give your self a break. I'm really bad about sticking with my calories everyday. Every week I allow myself a "free" day to eat all the junk I want. And I don't get down on myself for OCCATIONALLY over indulging, I even had pizza twice this last week. Just keep working at it and you'll get there.

Thanks guys. It feels great. And I owe every pound to MFP. It has helped me stick with it, yes there were weeks that I didn't lose, but over all the scale has went down, down, down. I'm so close to my goal it's exciting. When I started I didn't know if I would make it this far.

If I had pom poms, and was a little smaller I would do a cheer right here in my office. If I tried right now, I would knock everything over!!!LOL

Here's the thing. I still eat everything. But I limit myself to my daily calories (most days). I will have ice cream, but then cut back some where else. I don't limit my carbs or sugars or anything, I just know that if I have a piece of cheesecake, I either can not as eat as much the rest of the day or exercise my butt off later. I try to be realistic about the changes that I make. I only make changes that I know I can live with for the rest of my life, cause I know if it's a change that I can't live with forever, I won't stick with it and I'll gain the weight back.

Congrats on the BIG 40! I truly believe in your philosophy. It has been what worked for me.
