I was going to "Whoa, whoa, whoa - ease up there, hon. What's with the fireworks?" And then I saw you are 17. Which means you are currently biologically programmed to be defensive, pissy, argumentative, and prone to run-over tactics when attempting to make a point...
...and also too young to be on MFP.
sorry didn't know there was age limit to use mfp to help me with my weight loss anvilhead . quirkytizzy im not actually mean its just a got some annoying man arguing with every time I get on here honestly I was just trying to help the lady out the asked about it and I put a positive responds about a diet pill and that guy throws a hissy fit about it has to keep responding negatively every time

Hun, you are the only person throwing a hissy fit. The pills 'work' because they contain caffeine which is an appetite suppressant and a mild stimulant. And there is an age limit - when you sign up you have to agree to the Ts & Cs - one of which is that you are at least 18 years old.
omg I lied about 1 year I must just be an awful person aren't I :(

Ahhhhhh this brings back those fond memories of the tail end of puberty.

OP: ignoring the temper tantrum for a minute, the only ingredient in the pills that I can see that would have any appreciable effect would be caffeine. I would save you money and just have a good cup of coffee..

I have TRIED every diet pill but you know what? This eating 1200 calories a day combined with exercise for extra added calories is the best bet because I know that it is something I'm putting effort into and I know it's working.......

OP - sorry, I can't even remember who posted the original question after reading all that other stuff -

The best advice I ever got regarding diet pills was actually from a salesman at a GNC. A few years ago I went into one looking for a "quick fix" diet pill to suppress my appetite and lose a few pounds. I asked which one he thought was the best one and his response was, "Ma'm, if there was a pill that actually could help people lose weight and suppress an appetite safely do you think the average American would be able to afford it?"

I walked out with some daily vitamins instead. Whenever I'm tempted to buy a quick fix I remember his words.

Best of luck to you in your goals!

and I keep having a bunch what supposaly are adults argue with me because I use diet pill

You seem to be misinformed about what adults are. "Adults" are not these magical creatures that line up with whatever you are doing and agree just because you want them to.

In fact, it's usually quite the opposite. Other adults usually understand this. It escapes you - however, you're not adult. You've got at least somewhat of an excuse. For now, at least.

    Very mature!

Also rather silly as you just admitted that you lied when completing the Ts & Cs - hmmmm.
I lied to internet site about my age the only reason I did cause I needed something to help me count up my calories and keep me on track ive been overweight since I was like 8 I want to change my health and body so maybe I wouldn't be so unhappy and self conscious all the time sorry I tried to do something to help myself out not to argue with a with a bunch people that criticize every thing I say and I tried to help a lady out that asked about a diet pill im currently using and I gave her my result and it was positive and I keep having a bunch what supposaly are adults argue with me because I use diet pill

If you do not want to argue, then stop arguing with every single person. People do not like misinformation on here and do not want people to waste their money on something that either has a placebo effect or can be got from your espresso machine. That is why they were correcting you. As this site is for over 18 year old, we assume everyone is an adult and debate with them accordingly.

don't take any of this personally

for some reason, people on this site will argue over the color of the blue sky.

they can argue about diet coke for months and not reach a conclusion

    do what you gotta do

See I'm 30 pounds down from my weight when I started on MFP the first time (which still wast my highest weight) and I've only done the slow and steady way. Unfortunately I find I never have energy unless I end up going over my calorie goals for the day. This is supposed to allow low cal, but high energy. I'm not using it. Just tryin to get some opinions from people that I know are in my shoes ya know.

I just do tons of coffee and emergenC for energy. The "energy" in diet pills is often from caffeine anyways. Coffee seems less sketchy to me than "energy" supplements and diet pills.

And caffeine tablets are ridiculously cheap....<$6 for 100 200 mg pills...(if you aren't into coffee (blasphemy) or want something quicker/easier. (I use them to help me get out of bed earlier in the morning.)

    Diet pills are silly.

    not all of them

what they usually are is over priced caffeine pills and caffeine pills are not silly so your argument is invalid

go the back of the line

I wouldn't necessarily call my post "advice". More like, "information".

I said supposaly adults cause u never no there might be other kids that use this and actually I friends that I go to school with that use this and are 17

Someone with adult common sense wouldn't post on a forum that they lied in violation of the user terms&conditions and rat out the other kids on their FL. Enjoy having your account deactivated for your own lack of sense. Have fun explaining to your friends why their accounts got stripped, too.

ETA: spoke too soon, looks like you don't have friends on here. I guess your friends won't feel the wrath. Cool.

Then up your calorie goal. If you are feeling sluggish, then you're prob. not eating enough.

well duh I don't have friends on here just learned how to use that part of the website like 4 days ago and I use it mainly to log what I eat u know the purpose of this website  and well it hasn't been deactivated yet ill be waiting

Wow. This is so sad it is funny. So anyways, to the OP - try not dieting and instead think of this as a lifestyle change where you teach yourself about portion controls and eating a bit healthier, as well as getting into an exercise routine. That'll probably serve you better in the long run.

I've done the diet pills, crash diets, etc....so....to spare you some disappointment, try retraining your mind and creating good habits. :)
