I was making myself a sandwich and put some yellow american cheese in it along with low sodium ham and I couldn't help myslef by taking a few more slices of cheese (not put in the sandwich) and eating them one by one...

So I wanted to know what foods can you NOT have in your home or office because you can't just eat 1 serving eat-15.gif? Name 3 but if you have more then name them too!

Here are mine:

 Yellow American Cheese
 Soda {Sprite or Pespi} even though I know I am not suppose to drink them :grumble:
 Cheesecake
 Sour Cream and Onion Chips ~>Pringles

*Maraschino cherries.....I don't often have them in the house, usually just for baking cookies or something, but when I eat one, I end up eating 5 or 6

    *Baby bell cheese

*American cheese....but only at my dad's. At home I am fine, but when I am at his house I might have three or four slices while I am there....it's weird.

*holiday candy. I have this strange rationality. I have to hurry up and eat it all so it's no longer here and I won't be tempted.....I do realize by getting rid of it via my stomach I am not doing myself any good, but for some reason I just want to get it over with and eat it all at once.

my hubby lives on Dr P. and chips are definitely a portion control issue for him. he even makes his own salsa, and considers it "healthy" as he eats it with tostito after tostito. that goof!

btw, kristi, i read a lot of your posts. i love your clear, straightforward communication style. and of course, i like what you have to say, too.

Homemade cookies. Lol, on New Years Eve I tried one of my stepdad's. I started crying because all I wanted in the world at that moment was 5 more.

I resisted. But 5 months ago? That plate would've been GONE.

I haven't tried French fries in 7 months, because I go absolutely nuts over them. I need to make some butternut ones!

I second the Lofthouse Frosted Sugar Cookies. They are bakery goodness found at your local supermarket for a low price. They are responsible for at least 5-7 of my pounds that need to come off!!!

    Other items:
*Soda (usually Diet Dr. Pepper/Dr Pepper) but really, any kind
    *Frosted cake (homemade or storebought)
    *Tortilla chips and salsa
    *Kiddie-type cereal (marshmallows, chocolate, etc)

I have developed a so-far, so-good but soooo-WEIRD way to portion control myself. I have NO discipline, absolutely NONE, so my hubby locks my soda in his gun cabinet, and gives me one can a day. Same with other sweets I've been known to "get into." We just started doing this a week ago or so and while it sounds stupid, it REALLY works. I get my sweets, he knows the "rules" and I can't overindulge. Win-win situation!
