Im going to start taking Zumba classes once a week. How would i log that into the exercise logging?

  • I use high impact aerobics, but I would recommend using a heart rate monitor. It is more accurate and I can tell you from experience: my calories burned in Zumba can vary a lot. But have fun! It is a blast!!!!!

When i do zumba i just log it under fast ballroom dancing in the cadio section.
  • Try this website I use it and I think it gives a good estimate :) I do the cardio party for 45 minutes dvd

Thank you all so much for replying...my first class is Friday aat 5pm...i know late..but its being offered for free so no complaints. I have taken Zumba at home before with little results. Im hoping that ill be able to keep up with it with a class. I have NO rhythm.

I do have a question about HRM....can i use those as a daily tool such as just walking around the house...or do i only need to use that when im actually exercising?

HRM's are only good for exercising. If you wanted a total body burn for the whole day, you would want more like a Bodybugg or a BodyMediaFit.
