its pronounced new-tella. when in doubt, listen to the pronunciation in the commercials! it only makes sense that a company would want their product pronounced rigth in their ads, so i'm pretty sure its correct.

In the UK the ads pronounce it nuh-tella :/ Coz like, it's got nuts in :/
However you pronounce it, try it with pretzels dipped in..... or don't..... forgot what site I was on then

Not necessarily, the Toyota Yaris in the American commercials is pronounced "YAIR-is," in the Canadian ones it's pronounced "YAH-rus"

All due respect to the OP...does it really matter that much? Its a great and delicious product that a lot of people love. Po-TAY-to, Po-TAT-o, no?

I work for a French based company whose name is pronounced 3 different ways...even by top executives, and they're all considered to be FINE.

I've never heard the Yah-ris pronounced any other way, other than a dealership owner with a New England accent pronouncing it differently. In the US, it's Yah-ris. Never heard anyone say YAIR-is, although Ernie Boch pronounces it kinda funny, but he's got a strong New England accent, so he pronounces a lot of things funny.

It annoys the heck out of me when people say "NEW-tella." The reason being exactly what you said in your opening statement.
It is the correct way though.

That may be so, but it still sounds incorrect to me. Same as when people call a tomato a "tom-ah-toe." (Don't know if that's written right, but you get the gist.)

Guess you don't like British people very much.

And I can't imagine being annoyed with someone for pronouncing something correctly. Odd. Very odd.

    But, as they say, tomayto/tomahto.

I've always called it New Tella.

And it's too funny to read everyone's comments. I hate the stuff.

It's different if it's from people with accents. When it comes to those with the regular Canadian "accents" it annoys me, it's almost as if they're simply trying to be pretentious.
