ME TOO! :ohwell:0 -
I'm a transplant from Michigan. I love Texas, just don't exactly love the Fort Hood area. The thing that cracks me up is that we have a fireplace, and so does just about everyone we know down here. Back in Michigan, I don't know anyone with a fireplace. When that temp gets below 60 we fire it up, too.0

It is going to take more than one day to make these parts green.
I don't think it ever gets green here. :grumble:

  I'm in Wichita Falls. The drive to Dallas in even less green than WF. :laugh:0 -

I saw BLUEBONNETS yesterday! Woo hoo!
And then this morning it was 45° as I drove to work. Yep, it was raining, too, which we need here in Austin to keep the lakes full for all of y'all who come visit in the summer!
Anybody coming to SXSW next week?
I wish I was. I've always wanted to go but it has never worked out.0 -

I moved From La, to Chicago, and you are calling 60 degrees and rainey cold... we call that a heat wave here... PSSSSSShhhhhhawww...
anyway I remember a Joke from when I lived in Texas...
A Texan was visiting a bar in New York after his buisness meeting that lasted all day.
he was talking to the Bartender, "Yeah every'nes been real nice, New Yerk muct be the nicest place next to Dallas..." his phone rang and he answered it "Yeller?" and proceeded with a great big "**** yeah! That's great news, thank ya!" and hung up his phone, the Bar tender asked "what was the good news" as he was wiping some glasses down, "My son was born today, Typical Texan boy 22 pounds"
:noway: "What" said the Bartender, the Texan just replied "typical texan boy, 22 pounds 5 ounces"
a couple of weeks had gone by and the Texan returned on buisness and returned to the same bar after his meetings, sat down at the bar and said Hi to the bar tender, when the bartender asked "Hows your Son doing?" the Texans Resonce was "Oh hes doing great thank ya for askin... typical Texan boy, 10 pounds 8 ounces!" beeming with a great big smile. The bar tender looked confused as he asked "I thought you said he was 22 pounds 5 ounces?" "Oh that?" said the Texan, "We had him circumcized!" "Typical Texas Boy!!!"  :laugh:0 -
