I am curious about what time people typically exercise during the day =) I like mid-morning (9/10 o'clock) but the shows on the televisions at the gym during the time are awful XD haha

What time do you work out normally? And why? =]

Right away in the morning, so that I have it done no matter what the day brings...plus once the kids are up my days are so busy there is no time!

First thing in the morning (usually around 5:30 i'm on the treadmill/elliptical). Sometimes I'll do a light workout in the evenings while reading a book.

I try to exercise right after picking the kids up from school. Around 3:30 just before I have to make supper or run for sports.

630/7 pm-my husband works out with me and gets home at that time plus I work 3rd shift so I'm awake and alert most at this time

The best time is the time you can stick to!

I get up and go at 5am. I have 4 kids and my day just changes so much with their activities and appointments. I *could* have gone after taking kids to school (I even considered it) but I'm glad I didn't - one of my kids woke up sick and I had to take him to the doctor.

I never jsut jump out of the bed saying "woo hoo I'm so glad To be getting up" but then again I never say after a workout "That wasn't worth it, I should have slept in"

I've only just started doing it in the morning before work. I used to do it after work, but some times I end up putting it off if I do that!

On the weekends I tend to do it about 10 or 11. Which suits me much better!!

I also notice I can burn up to 50% more calories when I work out in the morning, no idea why, but seems my body prefers the morning!

Same fore me 9-10 am. I am not motivated early and I usually have work/school after noon. I jog outside or do DVDs so the daytime TV isn't an issue.
  • I do it whenever I get the chance. I am a stay at home mom with two kids who is NOT a morning person. lol. so its usually at night after they go to bed, or in the afternoon while my youngest is napping and my oldest is at school.
  • 5:30 AM. I like to get it over with. Too easy to find a reason not to, after work. Plus I've found it gives me a GREAT start to the day!
  • usually mid afternoon, but friday i do it earlier cos have work at 6pm x

3pm during the week and 30 min after breakfast on Saturday. I hit the gym on the way home from work, it is about 4 blocks away so I can't talk my self out of it before I get there. LOL.

I am on a strict routine due to school so I am up at 6:00 and doing the 30DS by 6:15. Non stop day 12 so far.

I work out around 1pm everyday, only because I noticed that my weight is at its lowest at that point of the day, so I weigh and work out around that time everyday! Except for the weekends its usually early in the morning so that I dont bother my hubby with my workouts!

I am just starting a new routine of running in the morning and DVD workouts in the evenings. I probably won't stick with it once school starts getting serious, but it should work for now.

Sometimes I'll pop down to the gym (its in the basement of my dorm) and work out if theres something on tv that I want to watch. I have no TV in my room and the TV is the gym is super nice, plus no one is ever in there.

I have a month long break for school so I have been working out around 2-2:30. I do it at this time because my boyfriend leaves for work at 1, and we are spending time together in the morning. I also seem to lose motivation as the day moves along and sometimes I don't eat till around 1 so I let the food settle a while before I workout.

Once classes start again, I have an ice skating class on Tuesday and Thursday for the first 5-6 weeks of the semester and then on the other three days of the week, I'll workout as soon as I get home from classes.

I used to try and workout in the evenings after work, but I found I was making excuses when I got home not to do it. So then I started working out in the mornings first thing. Once I force myself to get up (that's a chore, lol) I do the 30 Day Shred video. It takes 20 minutes and then I feel good about accomplishing something. I'm trying to do that 6 days a week. Then in the evenings when I get home I'll walk/jog for around an hour. I'm shooting for 3 times a week on that. I just started last Monday and so far so good! :)

I work out at 5 AM, there are too many excuses not to work out after work.

I work out between 5:30-7 or 8 in the evening. The Why is because i work 8:30-5 and am NOT a morning person.

I eat when I can and I exercise when I can. Sometimes that means I'm working out at 6am, other times not until 10pm.

I find that working out between 8 and 9 am is best for me...kids are content plus i knnow its done for the day. Although sometimes i'll throw in an extra afternoon workout!
  • Whenever I can. My daughter tries to get in the middle of it and it is harder. I wait either until hubby is home, or until she is worn out.

I am NOT a morning person but I force myself to get up at 4:50 am so I can be in my basement working out from 5 - 6 am. Gets it done with no interuptions or possibilities for something to come up and get in the way, plus it gets me drinking water first thing in the a.m. and I always struggle with getting enough water. Also energizes me for the day. It's what works for me and will keep me from ever being 300 lbs again.

i work 9.30-4 but don't get home til 4.30, i usually rest for half an hour or so and exercise between 5 and 6.30 (however long i feel like doing that day, minimum 20mins) so i can eat soon after and no later than 7pm! then that gives me enough time to shower and relax in the evening! (:

I HATE getting out of bed in the mornings, but I set my alarm for 5:15, and workout starts at 5:30. If I didn't do it that way I honestly wouldn't do it. After work, and doing the nightly activities for 2 kids as a single mom I know I would find too many excuses. It's hard to believe but doing it that way really does give me more energy throughout the day, and keeps that hard workout fresh in my mind all day so I eat better!
