Yeah, the calorie count seems off to me too. What kind of angel food cake did you use? I googled both Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker angel food cake mixes and they both have 140 cals per serving.

This is for prepared cake only. This recipe is mix only. I add it to my day with mix only of vanilla cake with .032 serving and it comes out about 50. Mixed with the angel food, it is probably lower. Which is why I agree with OP of 43. I have made this many times this weekend and it is sooo good. The only problem is my hubby want it all day~!

I have a big sweet tooth! But, when I put the ingredients in to this site, I put both boxes of dried mix in and got 26 servings - about 140 calories per cake. Still better than prepared of regular cake mix (half) and easy to make single servings (my husband's not into sweets). I used butter pecan and angle food cake. Maybe the sugar free regular cake mix would take down the calories?

I put it into the recipe files as 321 cake or 3-2-1 cake. Either way!

    Cheers

I made this with lemon cake mix. Really good. I also figured the calories at about 100 per serving. Make sure you use the 1 step angel food mix. I think all the major brands are but I found the store-brand generic ones are usually a 2 step mix. I doubt that they would work.

Made this tonight with red velvet, it was amazing, but comes to about 167 calories actually. Loved it either way!
