Yay kittie forum!! I'm new to MFP so was excited to just see this
We have 2 kitties, Mountie (7) and Percy (5). I got Mountie from the shelter while I was in college (at West Virginia Univ, so he is a true Mountaineer), and he has definite cattitude. He woke me up the other morning by knocking my bedside glass of water onto my head :grumble:
We got Percy when he was 1, originally we were fostering for an ex-coworker of my husbands. She insisted she would give us money for food, etc and we never heard from her again for a year! Then she had the nerve to ask for him back...I don't think so! He had been abused (permanent eye damage b/c he had car keys thrown at his face when he was a kitten) and couldn't even meow. We taught him by "talking" with him and now he is very vocal! He has attachment issues and constantly licks us, but we him a lot!
I'm at work so don't have any pictures but I will post some when I get home0 -
I have 2 kitties. The first ran in the front door around May of last year. She was so little. We petted her with 2 fingers because anymore seemed like it would hurt her. She's black with white sox and big yellow/green eyes. We deemed her Mya (off the movie Kama Sutra). 2 days later, whille warming up my car for work, I hear loud kitten like meowing. I look and see a little kitten under the neighbor's truck. It looks like something is wrong with it's eye. At a closer look, the problem isn't a problem at all, but light brown fur right above the eye. Of course by then I had already picked her up and she was purring. She had to be from the same litter as Mya so...kitten #2. We deemed her Tara (Mya and Tara (pronounced Thada) are both characters from Kama Sutra). These 2 cats are now close to 1 year old and they are both nuts! REALLY, I've had cats in the past but I don't remember them acting like these 2. They are so much fun!
PS, I have 2 crazy dogs too...Papa and Geisha. They're a whole nother story...lol0 -
BUMP BUMP BUMP, KITTIESSS!!! Yay. Made my day.0

This will be my first attempt at posting a picture, so wish me luck!
Dirt-Rat or Dirty as we affectionaly call him was adopted in 2004 and is my first cat. He is my spoiled baby and is still around today. He got his name from my husband- and was named after my husban's car. ... it's a long story. lol! Pepsi was adopted in 2005 and came with his name- the lady told me the person that found him liked to drink a lot of Pepsi- hence the name. We tried to change it but he already accepted Pepsi as his name. He passed away in 2008.
This was Buzzman- he was our third attempt at getting a kitty. We ran into a lot of bad luck this year with adopting cats- they all seemed to pass away with in a short amount of time. Buzz was the best kitty we ever had. We only had him for a few short months because he had some issues with his lungs. He was the most amazing cat though-
Buzz was my husband's best buddy.
This is our last picture of Buzz- he passed away later this same day.
We know have Tango Bear added to the mix with Dirty still. She is our first female and is a whole story on her own. She loves Dirty a whole bunch, but I can't say the same for the other way around. Dirty just loves that she always seems to have magical treats around her. What a goofball!
EDIT:
Had to resize some of them and this may be the only time I actually post anything about the cats. I like to have a site that is all mine and I don't want to be known as some sort of crazy cat lady even though I am married. lol! Haha- great pictures everybody. C:0 -
This is Arthur who we got from the rescue centre as a kitten, he is now 14. He stays at my Mum's, I didn't want to take him away from his comforts when I moved
In the background is the *kitten* dog lol0 -
