In 2007, I was "1987" for Halloween, wearing the clothes I wore back in the day. Oversized buttondown (with tails), leggings, miniskirt, pink suede fringed jacket, and two pairs of socks scrunched down, with my hair teased and sprayed within an inch of it's life (with Aussie Sprunch spray, so I even SMELLED authentic!)
Shoulder pads = NO NECK!
With my cat Gracie, who's also lost weight since then.
And my Pekingese Beavis, who also has Big 80s Hair.0 -
All of the above. BUT I just ordered 3 butterfly clips off of amazon the other day. The giant ones that are 5.5 inches. I use them to put my hair up in the mornings after I get out of the shower and am getting ready for work. :happy:0

Oh shoot this is telling my age!
Hot Pants!
Mini Skirts!
Maxi Skirts!
Barefoot Sandals!
Mood Rings!
Elephant Leg Pants!
Bell Bottoms!
And the newest haircut that was going around at the time! LOL
Funny to think I was really on the lead in fashion for our school cause we used to always fly to NYC to do our shopping 3-4 times a year. Now I would be embarrassed for anyone to see me. But I'll get back there!
Oh and penny loafers with the newest shinest pennies!
Oh, yeah.......and since we're the same age, you'll remember:
I had a fringe jacket similar to this one.
TIE DYE and headbands!
Don't forget the Long, gauzy skirts
I sewed fringe on the bottom of my jeans, and sewed many patches on my bf's jeans.
I made these little beaded flower necklaces and embroidered flowers on denim shirts.
and PEACE signs on everything!!
Yup, I was a hippie :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -

Either I missed it, or I grew up in a bubble:
Pump sneakers and those half-heart BFF necklaces that you got one half of and your BFF4L got the other half of.0 -
Tattoo choker necklaces0

Remember getting spiral perms and how the rods were so long and the process was like 4 hours long?? OMG yes.
Yup...did that, my hair was so long at the time...it took a little over 5 hours to get it all rolled up. UGH! And spendy! YIKES
Lawman jeans (so tight that I had to lay on the bed and pull up the zipper with a pair of pliers I kept in the bedroom) and I was thin then, Nike tennis shoes with neon pink & green laces, and god knows what else. lol0 -
Crop tops, jean shorts and belly chains. I judge my mother for letting me out of the house, lol0
-
Parachute Pants that would rub together & make a sound worse than the cord pants did.
Don't know how to post pictures, or I would.0 -
Butterfly Clips!0 -
Light up jelly shoes, those awful funky printed spandex shorts, chokers, and overalls. Oh and slap bracelets!0
-
I was very skinny, so I would wear things that I thought added curves, like men's button down shirts, lol, and wool pants. I used to layer my clothes to add bulk. Crop tops were my fave tops and when I wasn't trying to look like i weighed more than I did, I'd try to emulate Gwen Stefani.0

Thread earrings - though I think they might be back.
Patterned or pastel coloured stockings (yup, they're back too)
T-shirts with neon coloured prints (back)
Drop waisted dresses - please don't tell me they are back, they made everyone look oblong!0 -
Is it wrong that at 40 I dress similarly to how I did at 16? Minus the pink mohawk and leather mini skirt though!0
-
Scrunchies (sp?) and mis-matched, bright colored socks0
-
Butterfly Clips!
Hahaha! Twisted back...every day!
