Hello everyone. Got back into the exercise this morning. Still not feeling 100%, but I am feeling a little bit better. Trying to get back on track. So far so good, but then again it is only 6:25. I have blown it on my sodium, hope it does show on the scale. I am in my calorie range and did get in 30 minutes of exercise on the WII Fitness Coach. I have also gotten in my water for the day. Maybe I should do a little house cleaning to keep me busy and keep me from eating ice cream because I do have a sore throat.

Lauryn, here's a big ol' hug for you ((((****))))) Hope things work out in for the best for you soon. Enjoy your trip to Las Vegas. Hopefully that will help a little.

Brittany, welcome. You'll like this group. These girls ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

Connie, just hang in there girl. It will show, just give it time.

Rhiannon, glad your test came back negative. I know what you mean about the mixed emotions. I've always thought the same.

Kristen, how's the baby doing today? Can't wait till he/she is born. Just beware, they grow up really fast, huh mom?

EM, how you hanging in there girl? Let's keep on trucking.

Dr Tamm, hope you enjoy your WATP. I haven't seen the 3 or 4 mile walks. I've got the 1 and 2 miles. I've even done the jog. But, yes I love her videos, it's easy to follow and not to jumpy.

Anyone else I forgot, sorry, but hope ya'll are having a great day.

    Later girlies.

Unbelievably, I have managed to salvage my train wreck of a day. Chipper, what you posted (in another thread maybe?? can't remember) spurred me to fix things. Just because the better half of my day was bad didn't mean I couldn't finish the rest of the night doing well. I only had 202 calories left for dinner, so I ate a Healthy Choice meal for 270 calories, putting me only 68 calories over for the day. That's within my 100+/- daily goal, meaning I earn money for my reward jar for today, barring any late night misgivings -- which will NOT happen tonight. So Chipper, thank you SO MUCH for posting that encouragement previously. It stuck with me. :flowerforyou: And girl, you are looking spectacular! I love your ticker photos!

Shanell, thanks for making the new post! I expect to see weight gain for this six weeks which stinks, but it won't be much, so I'll be grateful for that. I'm hoping Vegas will ease some stress too!!

Redsox, thanks for the hugs!!! I appreciate you all SO VERY MUCH!! Good luck with the upcoming exam. What class is it for?

Tudor, we all have those crazy times with weight and life. Hope school is going well!

Brit, are you eating your exercise calories too? When I was doing well (haha), I was eating within my calories, including eating all my exercise calories and losing weight. You don't wanna eat too little or too much, it's a fine balancing act. Welcome to the Sixers!!!

Rhiannon, I laughed that you took a pregnancy test even with the hubby being fixed. Sounds like something I'd do!!! I have taken preggo tests when I was on birth control a couple times before, just extremely worried. Stress delays periods for me, and a delayed period equals more stress!! LOL Let us know how the thyroid testing goes.

Chip and Shanell, I might be coming to Charleston this summer to visit a friend. If I do, we will totally have to meet up for a decadent meal, followed by a looooong walk to burn off those calories!!

Kristin, I love the belly pictures. It's so amazing how women are able to GROW A HUMAN INSIDE OF US. It boggles the mind. I love pregnancies. I loved my pregnancy. It was such a beautiful time in my life.

Chipper, congrats on the summer clothes fitting!!!!! YOU ROCK!!! It is SO GREAT when clothes from the past start fitting again. Then they are too big and you have to buy the next size down... and then again... and then again... and then again!! By that point, you are flat broke but so happy to feel so skinny and being able to shop without the trip ending in tears!!!! (Or at least that is how it is going for me! )

Katie, can you just show up and do the race without being an active participant? Like sneaking in? haha I think it stinks you have to PAY to be in races, but I suppose most of them raise money for a charity, which makes it a little more understandable.

Tamm, drinking all your water?? Fresh fruits and veggies?? YAY TAMM!!! Rock it girl!! :glasses:

I think I've covered everyone that posted yesterday and today (man we move fast here!!). I hope you all are doing well.

Cass, where are you? I'll put out an APB if you don't check in soon!!!
Deb, are you still with us dear?
(If either of you posted Saturday or before, I just haven't seen it

Okay forgive me for not being specific im doing this last minute tonight..

So! be proud! I not only got a gym membership tonight, I went for over 2 hours!!!!!
I walked for over 40 minutes between 3.0 and 3.5 at a lvl 3 incline! yay
umm i didnt remember to look at my distance though.. :(
then I did a bike things for 30 minutes.. i dont like those very much but I was sweating alot and felt like I push myself which is nice..
then did some leg weights and a set of 30 crunches!

So its going nicely.. now i just have to keep it going.. and I have my first time working out with a personal trainer on friday (free with the membership)

And thanks for adding me to the list and i think.. lauryn.... I did well with my calories today! I manages to be right near there. I made a homemade stir fry for dinner.. and only made enough for me.. (2 cups!) and since i didnt use any unhealthy oils or extra salts and seasoning and lots and lots of veggies plus brown rice It only was about 760 calories.. and sicne I ate super healthy all day I came out with 200 some calories left.. putting me a little under but at least not over! :)
plus I burned alot of calories too!

So sorry for the super long update.. I just like being able to talk about this and having other people give suggestions and such..

Good job going to the gym! How did you make your stir fry? I made some last night, and with brown rice (3/4 cup cooked ), chicken and asparagus stir fry (it also had carrots, onions and squash, but mostly asparagus) with Kikkoman stir fry sauce, it only came to 518 calories. And that was with a big glass of milk too! You might want to double check your numbers and quantities. My serving covered half my plate, so I can't imagine how yours was so high... Not saying you're wrong, but I just can't imagine how your numbers got up there (or did you eat more rice? DH says 3/4 of a cup just isn't enough, but it works for me, I just put on more veggies)

    Dinner
Riceland - Extra Long Natural Brown Rice, 3/4 cup cooked 150 calories
Golden Plump All Natural Chicken Breast - Chicken, 3.2 oz 88 calories
    Birds Eye - Asparagus Stir-Fry, 1 3/4 cups frozen / 1 cup cooked 90 calories
    Kikkoman - Stir-Fry Sauce, 2.75 Tbsp 55 calories
Jilberts - Fat Free Skim Milk With A &D, 1.5 cup 135 calories
    Total dinner calories 518 calories

I just realized that I didn't add the squash in, but that wouldn't have added many more calories than this, nor would the chicken broth that I made the rice with. I'll say.... 550 calories tops

Hey Sixers!! I'm glad to see everyone is still hanging in there.

Lauryn- You are as strong as a 1,000 yr old tree. You will make it threw the rough times. I'm praying for you. You need that Vagas trip!

Katie- I used to sometimes participate in races even if I didn't pay. Its a wide open street. Especially for 5K's. Thanks for the motivation.

Rhiannon- You are such a great motivation! Keep up the work

Cathy- best wishes with the weigh in. You can do it

Shanell- We have to love those at home dvds. They make the world stop long enough for us to focus on a little piece of our future.

    Robin- glad to see you.

    Tudor- welcome back.

Well ladies.... I must sleep early tonight. Take care!! Tamm Those 6 weeks flew by!!

See I went with a recipe I found similar online here and used those calories.. I used... a cup and half of rice. although I only used about a cup in the actual stirfry the rest sadly went to waste (im not a very good cook!) and it says its about 100 calories half a cup.. so there was 200 calories.. then I used two tablespoons of oil and that was a 100 calories. then the rest was straight veggies, and chicken. I used half a cup of cut up raw chicken (my first time cutting raw chicken.. beef yes.. chicken never b4....) 1/4 cup of yellow squash, 1/4 of mini broccoli crowns, 1/4 cup of cut up tomatoes (added last u want them warm not squishy!) about 3 very small slices of mango, maybe an 1/8 of a cup of sugar snap peas, and finally about a 1/2 a cup of carrots, and celery combo...

I made too much though.. and half of the stuff went to leftovers for my hunny today. and I figured I must have had about a cup and half-two cups of stuff on my plate.. Idk.. but even if I ate less calories then the 720 the recipe I found (they used italien dressing on theirs that I didnt and they added salt and seasoning) good news Is that I was at least close/under yesterday! yay!

So super exciting news! I am a scuba diver, and I got offered a job working at a scuba camp for 10 days this summer! which is even more motivation to slim down before july!!! yay!

and also be proud I am not SUPER sore today.. just mildly, so I got my butt up at 8, and I will be leaving here in five minutes to go work out for another two hours or so! ^_^

Hey does anyone have any suggestions on slimming down the theighs? I have HUGE theighs...

Wow, my brown rice has way more calories than yours, mine is 150 for 3/4 cup cooked... I use less oil than yours too... but you used mango, yummmy! I'm lazy and just throw a bag of frozen stir fry veggies in the pan  . If you were using the recipe's calorie counts, I bet you saved a ton of calories by not using the italian dressing...

Anyways, Week 6's new post is available now under motivation and support... Come find us there!
