Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending McDonald's, but this image is not what the description states.

    Hoax:

http://www.thatsnonsense.com/view.php?id=1478&keywords=McDonalds Chicken McNuggets Mechanically Separated Chicken Photo

Even if the picture isn't what it looks like, I have watched SuperSize Me, and the describe the SAME thing. Old chickens are mashed up, beaks/eyes, guts, feet, everything!! And then used to make nuggets. NASTY!

Just to let you all know, whether that pic is a hoax or not, msm's are used in pretty much any and everything... not just McDonalds... next time you pick up some processed meat items from the grocery store, check out the ingredients. If they list MSM or MSMP it's the same thing! (and that's mechanically separated meats or mechanically separated meat products)

think of how much meat would cost if someone had to stand there and separate it, labor ain't cheap these days

Any and everything eh...right. Alarmism is funny.

If you continue reading, I clearly state "if they list MSM or MSMP..." (which admittedly is a typo, should be MSP)...

    Take THAT, nay-sayer, take THAT!
    Ok then...thanks Captain Obvious?

Do you have daughters? I'm sure they've rolled their eyes at you. Picture it. Yep, that's what just happened here too.
  • The beak is my favorite part of the mechanically separated chicken! *raises a McNugget to you all*

    LOL!!! Awesome!

Search the forums. There were at least 2 other threads that have this topic. It is being beat into the ground.

not beat into the ground silly, mechanically separated and processed!

FDA doesn't give a ____ about the consumers, its all about money & politics, watch Food Inc, you just might change how you think.

Agree with this as well... This is one of those "friend of a friend" stories, but I know someone who knows someone whose mom works for the FDA, and she told me how the lady was forced to approve something because it had a lot of "commercial backing" (ie. they were paid to say it was fda approved)... We were talking about those birth control pills that give you your period 3 or 4 times a month when she told me that, but I'm sure it's safe to say this goes across the board. Either way, don't use only 1 source for your info!

I always put faith in propaganda

McDonald's chicken tastes so much different since all this scandalous stuff came about ... you can tell they use real(er) chicken than before. Click the link above. Same goes for Taco Bell ... they're beef doesn't taste as good anymore now that they removed the sand, lol

Is this when they had that "newer, better chicken nuggests" campaign? I'm vaguely remembering ads about kids cheering for the nuggets... lol

Except McDonalds only uses chicken breast in the UK and if they were using that they wouldn't be able to claim it was 100% chicken breast, which they do.

So maybe old McDonalds but not the current version.

And you can add this to the many reasons why not to eat at fast food restaurant: Survey says that the average fast food diner eats 12 pubic hairs per year. Yum. Where's my Big Mac?!

I'm not exactly sure how accurate this is. There still is this thing called the FDA.

This Litterally made me laugh out loud. Go ahead and believe that the FDA would stop a multi-billion dollar industry from turning huge profits at the expense of our nation's health. More than 1/2 the productucs out there are JUNK! There are ways to get around FDA rules and it's done all the time. The message here is EDUCATE YOURSELVES and BE RESPONSIBLE. For the record, I'd eat a Nasty Nugget if the conditions were right, but then again, I'd say the same about worms. To each their own.

It's different in the US which is what most of this refers to. When I went to Paris, France a few years ago and ate the McD's there I was shocked at how much better it tasted! You're lucky to have yummy *tho still bad for you* McD's! :drinker:
