exercising with a disability

I have a rare condition called PVNS that caused tumors in my knee and thigh. It's been three months since my surgery to remove the tumors and clean out my knee joint. I am just now able to walk with a cane and have a limp that causes hip and back pain. I also have some nerve damage and atrophied muscles from the surgery.
I do some basic stretches given to me by a physical therapist and use a floor stationary bike for exercise. Does anyone have suggestions for other exercises I can do to help build up the muscles and get them to work properly so I can become more active and burn more calories?
