Just for every day casual wear, totally go boxers. But for exercise, I go for the boxer briefs.0

seriously, try Gold bond powder instead of petroleum jelly for the chafing.. hubby loves the stuff0

just biking: just the bike shorts thank you
just running: run shorts with a compression short built in
triathloning: triathlon shorts (swim, bike and run baby; these shorts do it all)
and for chaffing, try a product called Chamois Butt'r. 180km ride followed by a 42.2km run and ZERO chaffing below the waist.0
