A friend of mine lives in Finland.
She posted an update on Facebook the other day about how she had to keep stopping walking to prevent her eyelashes from freezing together.

I don't mind the cold but that biting wind is unpleasant. Might have to do some extra exercise to keep warm. Keeping warm in cold weather burns more calories so it's a win for me.

Having experienced down to -40C with a windchill that made it feel like -70C, I can't complain much about -6C weather and no snow. weeeeee!

honestly...compared to last year when temps here in shropshire fell to -20 several nights running, it's just normal winter this time... I think we've all been lulled into softness by the incredibly mild winter we've had so far!

It doesn't look so cold today and yet when I've been at the doorway I've been really feeling it. Thank goodness I have a very thick coat (I describe it as wearing my sleeping bag!) so I'll put that on for the school run shortly. I downloaded coach to 5k last night but, call me a wimp if you will, I'm putting off starting it until the weather warms up. I really can't deal with extremes of temperature, can't stand it too hot (in excess of about 25 degrees C) or very cold - and I class anything below about 5 degrees as very cold! LOL!
