  • I now love to run. I wish I could start my run at about the mile and a half mark though, It doesnt feel good to me until then. After that, there are days that I have to tell myself to stop.
  • Okay...I had a breakthrough. I ran a mile yesterday. The time before that I could only run 5 minutes at a time before I had to stop for a break. It was much easier after fixing how my foot struck the road. I didn't realize how much I was rolling from heel to toe as I ran. I was informed by someone who runs all the time that you really ought to strike mid to forefoot. There are shoes to help with this, if you are a lighter weight runner. I'm running on 248 lbs, so I am still running in my Reezigs because they have so much support between my foot and the road. When I ran on the forefoot, all the heaviness and fatigue I felt in my thighs and lower back, even shins, seemed to be greatly reduced. I sprang rather than galloped. Still running to music, too.
