    There are two potential issues - joint stress and increasing your HR to above max.

    Joint issues: if you don't have any yet, you should be alright, but stop if you get any joint pain whatsoever.

    Max HR is generally cited as 220 - your age (then aim for a 60-85% of that number when exercising). Here's the Mayoclinic calculator: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/target-heart-rate/SM00083

    If you buy a decent Heart Rate Monitor (like a Polar FT4 or FT7) you could measure this as you go along with the DVD and make sure you're not overstressing yourself.

    I'm excited to do 30DS too but I'm waiting until I get down below 225 to try it, just to be on the safe side...

    i've just done the maths for my max heart. i think it works out at around 116 bpm. when i exercise it always goes way above that. is that bad??
