Mine should be in recipes soon "EASY Yogurt Smoothie"
1 cup 1% vanilla yogurt (or your favorite low cal yogurt)
1 cup frozen berry medley (in frozen fruit section
1 banana
1/4 cup of OJ or less just enough to liquify.
Blend well as fruit is like icecubes.
200 cal per serving. Makes 2 servings
Note: lessen cals by taking banana out if you wish.0 -

I tend to throw things in a blender and see how it turns out, so I don't have measurements. I made a delicious Pina Colada style green smoothie the other day.
Lite Coconut Milk (about half a serving)
Pineapple
Banana slices, frozen
Spinach, one or two handfuls
Water or ice as needed to thin it out.
Bland and enjoy! It will be neon green, but taste like a Pina Colada! MMMMM, i think i'll have one for dessert tonight.0 -
Oatmeal & Fruit Power Smoothie:
No ice needed!
1 cup soymilk
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 bananas
1.5 cup frozen berries (best with either mixed or just strawberries; if you're using fresh fruit, make sure your bananas are frozen)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
2 packets sweetener, Equal/Splenda (optional)
Grind the oats in a blender
Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
Enjoy! (:
I found this recipe to be big enough for a breakfast power smoothie, with a bit left over for post-workout replenishing.0 -

Brownie batter muscle milk w black cherries = black forest cake (healthy version)0

1 Cup unsweetend almond milk
1 Cup frozen mixed fruit or berries (thawed mostly)
1 Cup frozen kale
1 scoop vanilla vegan raw protein powder
if you can swing it, get an immersion blender (don't waste money on the wireless models, just get a good corded one). Sequester all the tall plastic containers you can (the chinese food quart sized soup ones are great). You can mix your own up each day and drink it from the container when you are done. The immersion blender I got also came with a whisk attachment, so i can blend up protein drinks pretty easily in large glasses. Minimal mess.
PS. If you use the whisk thing, start with a little water and the powder, it will climb the glass when you start the whisking.0 -
I've been making smoothies with greek yogurt, almond milk, some spinach, 2 different kinds of berries (it doesn't seem to matter what kind...whatever you like!) and a banana! the banana makes it really filling and it's a good way to get spinach in...you can't even taste it!0
