I met with my personal trainer today and he had me do core work and legs. How exactly do I add that into my exercise? It was an hour long session. Here are some of the things I did:

7 mins on treadmill at 2.5 with 2.5 incline
Planks 3 sets of 30 sec
Planks with toe taps 3 sets of 10
Torso twist with medicine ball (don't know what it's called but I was sitting, leaned back with feet off ground) 3 sets of 10
Reverse crunch 3 sets of 10
Hamstring bridge 3 sets of 20
Hamstring bridge with one leg raised 3 sets of 10 per leg
Lunges with torso twist holding medicine ball (probably 40)
Squats using exercise ball against wall 3 sets of 15

I would put it in as circuit training.

I do similar work with a P.T. two times a week. I don't include it in my exercise and look at it merely as "bonus" calories that are being burned during that time. Helps to create a buffer, is how I look at it. I'd rather track my real burned calories for my cardio workouts, etc....

I wear my HRM when I meet with mine. I know it's not entirely accurate for the straightforward weight lifting work, but for things like step-ups and walking lunges (I do a lot of these types of exercises) it is fairly good.

OMG! After my session with him I can't imagine doing cardio!! Kudos to you! I didn't add it to my exercise log and I am only over 82 calories so I think I am good. Tomorrow I will burn some cals with cardio. I meet with him again on Wednesday.
