Awesome job! I just started today! I am going to stick with it! Great results...yes please keep sharong progress!
  • So is the 30 day shred working out to the dvd 20minutes a day for 30 days? HOw hard are the workouts and can you do it inside the house?

Yes, the DVD has three 20 minute work outs on it, you are supposed to do 10 days on each level in order and the levels are harder as you go on. I actually am finding level 2 easier than level 1 but I think that is probably as I used to swim which means I'm better at planks than I am at weights! The workouts are pretty hard if you are a beginner (I was pretty unfit due to having recently had a baby) but you find them getting easier really quickly. You need hand weights and enough room to do a star jump (or jumping jack - to put it in American  ) and a push up. Generally if you have that much room then you can do levels one and two, I don't know about three yet as I haven't got there! But I imagine it isn't too much different. I've only ever done it in the house as I follow along to the dvd.

Awesome, thanks for your reply. I might just buy it now - found it online for NZ$25 is that good? Yep I have that much room in front of the TV and I'm in NZ so we call them star jumps as well

Do you think it would be good to continue with my gym routine (which is not fully established yet!) I go at 6am before work then do the 30 day shred when I get home? Or will I die? Lol I wonder if I should start it in March....

I'm in NZ too!! Main problem I've been having is that it is tooooooo hot!! Do you go to the gym every day? Maybe you could do it in your off days.
  • You're looking awesome for 2 weeks work. Keep it up. You should be so proud of yourself!!!!!

 I live in Invercargill - we don't have the problem of it being too hot down these ways! Lol No this week I only went to the gym two days - but I'm still trying to adapt to non-holiday-mode. I'm aiming to go to the gym 5 days a week from Monday but won't be doing my full programme, three days will be programme two days will just be 30mins on the crosstrainer. This is the plan anyway.

Hi all - I've drummed up the courage to post some pictures of myself in my undies on the internet - gulp - anyway I've done the 30 Day Shred every day for the last two weeks (so 10 days level 1 and 4 days level 2). I was feeling a bit discouraged so I thought I'd do a photo to see if there was any difference. I think that there is! Especially considering it has only been 14 days!!

Def a difference! I LOVE SHRED! I've been using it for almost a year. I just repeat it lol. I'll take a break and do different things but for the most part, it's my go to workout. Level 2 will tone the crap out of you! I loose the most inches on that one.

Thanks! I will post them when I get there  hopefully I'll do it 30 times in 30 days. I've done it for 15 now without a break so it's looking good.

I really like level 2! I like it way more than level 1, somehow it seems less boring, maybe you move around more or something?!? I'm just doing the modified versions of most things and still feeling the burn. I figure maybe I'll do it again some time and see if I can do the harder version.

I will try level 2 already this weekend then and see how I get on :) I like level 1 and my endurance has improved dramitically since the first time I did it! I really enjoy it ... I think I'm just afriad of loosing motiviation! I'm only doing it every other day and using the days off for swimming or Zumba or just resting... so my results are not as dramatic as yours...but there is a definite difference! Can't believe your pictures after 14 days!! Fantastic!! :-D

I found I didn't have any results with Level 1 despite feeling like I was going to die. I did 15 days at that level then went to level 2. I was kind of intimidated by what others had posted about L2 but I thought it was better than L1! Surprisingly, I can do a lot of the advanced moves but not with the planks. I'm also finding that I have measurable results with L2 (but not on the scale).

Lu Ann: Keep going and there are also Groups for the Shred that you can join too.

Werglum: Wicked job! I totally see a difference!

I've finished level 2 now!! I did take 2 days longer to finish it than anticipated (a combination of having two kids up all night one night, then a funeral another day). I'm a bit scared of starting level 3!!

I'm not sure if like is the right word  but I can do it! And I've been told the best exercise is the exercise that you do regularly so in that respect I do. It is my last day today so once I'm done I'll put up a final photo.
The main reason that I can do the Shred is that it is about 30 minutes long (including getting changed!) and with little kids it is doable. My baby (almost 9 months) will sit through it and watch, she thinks all the jumping up and down is halarious  and my 3 year old does the exercises too (it is quite funny, she copies what Jillian says, so I have two people telling me what to do!)

Great results! I am on day 14 and also felt the need to take pictures to compare. Isn't it great when you can see for yourself the changes that are happening? Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see the end results.
