I'm bored with my usual online watering holes. Expand my horizons! Any geekery related to gaming, television, movies, or books is acceptable. With the exception of Harry Potter. It was fine the first time around, but I'm over it now. And for goodness sake, no Twilight!

I do, but I haven't even finished Oblivion yet, much less Skyrim :indifferent: Not enough free time!

The series is apparently pretty good, but <3<3 LOVE LOVE LOVE the books, so very much. Read through them all in a couple months... devoured... and now pine for the next installment. lol

If you install skyrim today, you probably won't get that project done haha...

There isn't enough spare time in the world to finish Skyrim lol.

I'm currently playing SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic) online... a lot. It's kept me from purchasing Skyrim despite REALLY wanting to. I'm a huge gamer, and build gaming machines for kicks.

Took a break from reading a Song of Ice and Fire after Book 2, but the books are phenomenal so far! Can't wait for season 2 of the show. I'm reading the books one by one before the show comes out :P
  • Books: LOTR, Game of Thrones

Games: Skyrim, Dragon Age Origins, Fable 1, 2, & 3.

The show is definitely good, but for me I read the books, then saw it.

Nothing ever lives up to how you percieve it to be by reading the books.

Both of these are awesome! Hunger Games is written on a teen reading level, but it is WAY more serious than Harry Potter type lit.

Game of Thrones is the best thing I've ever read.
  • I'm definitely into MW3! Xbox?? Gamertag - copernicuskh

Skyrim never ends. Literally. It was designed to go on infinitely. The quests might get boring after a while, but there will ALWAYS be something to do.

How about a bit of great music... Being in America I hadn't heard of Frank Turner until a friend in blighty told me about him a few days ago. Since then I've been geeking out on his tunes - they make me feel so great. Look him up on Youtube and listen to "If I ever stray", "Reasons not to be an idiot", "Photosynthesis", "Long Live the Queen", and "I Still Believe".

If there is one artist, or band, that I could feel 100% comfortable saying "They are the best", it would be Tool.

If any of you have an open mind... find a song called "Right in two - Tool" and listen to the lyrics, it refers to mankind/humanity as a whole.

Check out Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate novels! They're steampunk, with vampires & werewolves and HILARIOUS!
    I'll check it out, thanks!
