Today, very emotional over any Whitney Houston song, I grew up with her music and will miss her greatly. Only 2 years older than me to, scary stuff.

There are so many great ones mentioned already, but I'm gonna add my newest favorite sad song.

I'm Gonna Love You Through It - Martina McBride.

I had a dear friend go through this exact situation and pass away 2 years ago. Can NOT listen to this song without thinking of her and her family and crying my eyes out! Miss you, dear Laura.... And I just have to add... she's the reason I started running. Because she can't do it anymore and that makes me mad!!!!

Sarah McLachlan - "When she loved me"

It's that song from Toy Story II where Jessie reminisces about her time with her original owner who outgrew her. Makes me tear up just thinking about it

This week it is anything Adele. Her voice is so hauntingly beautiful. I thought I was sad yesterday because it is the first Vday alone, and it is my ex'es birthday taboot,..........turns out it was Adele. So perfect and wonderful.

At first I hated this subject because I believe in being happy. But I realize that sad is a part of life. If you do not feel, you don't work through your feelings and eventually fix them or move on.

I think listening to sad songs is cathartic. How can one truly know happiness if they have never felt sadness?

Now tonight, I am listening to Boom Boom POW! Kind of like make up sex after a few days of crying:laugh:
