    I agree!

Go with half. If I were closer, I'd gladly share ;-)

I made very similar cupcakes last week (I made mine mini and there were way more than 2 dozen).

I found it very easy to avoid, I did try some of the frosting when I managed to get covered in it but I didn't think it was that good so avoiding them was easy

    Raspberry Bars
    Red Velvet Cupcakes
    Honey Nut Cake Bar
    Gooey Bars
    Sweet Potato Meringue Pie
    Berry Cheesecake
    Triple Chocolate Mousse
    Peach Cobbler
    Chocolate Creme Brulee
    Almond Tres Leche Cake
    Molasses Cake

I always imagine the person who baked them has a bunch of cats that walk around on their counter tops with their nasty little paws that were recently walking in cat litter....

We have donuts and I adore donuts. So far I have resisted. Just 2 hours and 38 min to go.

My last employer had carry-ins and stuff all the time like that... What I told myself is that people go and pick up those cupcakes PROBABLY without washing their hands first. Do you want a germy cupcake?!

Be strong, that cupcake won't do anything for your waistline either and once it's gone are you REALLY going to be THAT satisfied?

UGH.... I have a horrible sweet tooth. I try to decide if it's really worth it. LIke a brownie or choc. chip cookie then I go for it. but like white cake... eh, i can take it or leave it. Then I work it in to my calories for the day. It can be so hard sometimes! Keep up the good fight!

you did good by only eating a quarter of it. what I do is I try to imagine who made the dessert, and if i can imagine them with dirty hands or little kids that stick their fingers in the mix, etc. then I can gross myself out enough to not take one. I'm crazy, I know.

lmao...where were you last week when someone brought in a strawberry cake!!???? I am totally using this technique with every food I eat from here on out!!!!

Yeah, when it's a once in a while thing I just have it and figure out a way to make it fit. I'm baking cupcakes tonight and I'm going to eat one and I'm not feeling bad about it. This weekend I'm baking my best friend's baby shower cake and then I'll indulge in some of that too, and I'll exercise and fit it in. Than I won't have cake again for 6 - 8 weeks (probably more, can't imagine why I'll need to have cake within the next 2 months). I'm not person that says "no, I can never eat another one of those ever again" it just makes me want it more. But if I say, "moderation is key" I feel better because I know it's okay to say no now so I can say yes later, or okay to say yes now as long as I know that it's going to be good enough to say no later.

An Au Bon Pain Red Velvet Cupcake is 350 calories so 1/4 of that is not bad at all!

when I don't want to eat something sweet tempting to me I pretend the person who made it didn't realize her flour (whatever) had worms in it....works everytime.

To help avoid the office snacks I keep gum in my desk drawer. It has saved me more then I can count. This morning there were muffins in my office. I had already eaten a well balanced breakfast & wasn't even hungry until I saw them....EAT ME, EAT ME...just one won't hurt...I marched myself right back to my desk & put a piece of gum in my mouth. The good news is treats don't last long in my office and they were going pretty fast.

STAY STRONG ~ YOU CAN DO IT!!!

    A couple thoughts for you....

    1) NOTHING will ever taste as good as thin (or reaching your goals) feels...

    2) A little humor for you: Putting a pretty shirt over your muffin top does not make you a cupcake.

    3) If you really want a cupcake - have one, just know that in the end, you have to work it back off again. If your willing to do the extra workout, go ahead and have it!

Red Velvet - no problem - the frosting is good, but you can keep the rest.

i'd lick the frosting off and toss the cupcake. haha. ~100-150 calories, so worth it.
