I have noticed that many women post on here are upset by the fact that their breasts seem to be the area where they lose weight first.

Through the course of my weight loss journey I have lost 30 pounds from my heaviest weight...and sadly nothing from my boobs.

Can anyone tell me how I could possible inspire my boobs to deflate a little?

I have the same thing, I was telling my husband that the other day and he said, "So." Typical man.

Your boobs might not be as fatty as you're thinking they are. Also...I would die to be in your position boob-wise. Lol.
  • You might want to try some chest workouts.

I had to lose about 50 pounds before the deflation began.

Mine have gone down even though it was not my goal!!
Push ups and cardio will do it. Push Ups help keep them perky

I would pay to learn how to decrease my cup/chest size without surgery! Bench presses, push ups and cardio haven't worked at all. If anything, it's made the situation worse.
  • I would suggest chest exercises...
Lay on a bench with weights and basically do a reversed push up, being sure not to bring your arms below the bench, then back up. I'm sure there is more but that's the first to pop in my head =)

P.S. I wish I had that problem! Mine were the first to go!

Mastopexy.... after I lost all the weight I had to have a boob tuck. Too much skin and not enough boob. So be careful what you wish for.
  • I thought I was the only one who wanted smaller boobs...lol...

I agree. The boobs are the first to go sadly!

    I think it's just genetics. I haven't lost a cup size either.
  • weights, the more muscle mass in your chest the less fat there as well, Im actually the opposite, how can i make them bigger? lol

You can't magically remove fat from your boobs. It's like anywhere else, you can't spot reduce.

Just like you can't spot-reduce with your belly, thighs, butt, and anywhere else your "average" woman wants to reduce, you can't spot-reduce with your boobs. That's just the way your body is shaped, and for your boobs to get smaller you'll need to lose overall body fat. Dems the brakes. :ohwell:

Definitely by working those muscles as someone said I noticed it with Bench Pressing and Pushups and other chest machines! They will go!

It's very simple and I know the answer.

    And I ain't telling ANYONE
  • You can't target fat loss (excluding surgical options). You can target muscle gain or loss.

Spot reducing? Nope. It is a myth. "Spot reduction" is physiologically impossible.
Doesn't work. Want to spot reduce? Lipo / Reduction / Lift etc.

Your body loses weight where it feels it needs to.

I think I would weep if I lost weight in my boobs. My husband would throw a tantrum. It would not be a good day in our house.

Nope I started my journey at a DD and they are still a DD, I have only lost 11lbs so far but I have that type of boobies that they will not go down. :(

Some of us are just meant to have boobs. When I was 18 I was teeny tiny and in great shape, wore like a size 0-2, and still had a 34D rack. It's just in my genes. I'd be a little happier about them if they were still perky like they were when I was 18, but I've got great bras and I gotta embrace the boobs.

That said, when I'm at my goal weight AND done having children, I absolutely plan to have them reconstructed since they'll probably be kinda sad at that point.

I have lost a little of mine, but there is still a lot left. I would just be happy with making them perkier....but I don't think that is possible.
  • I lost 25 pounds last semester, and barely went from a DD to a D. I've lost 8 pounds this semester....they're the same size. They've always been bigger even when I was just a size 6 though, so I may have no hope :( too bad I can't give half of mine to someone who lost too much LOL
